  6. Next time we'll go to Sugarfire BBQ - the newest and best in town from the latest reviews. I haven't had a chance to try them yet but it's all I hear about now. You can't hold back when you go to places like that!

  7. Your comment on the BMI is spot on, Perry, it really is a poor measurement of health. The gym I go to has a poster of two ladies that are the same height and weight, and obviously have the same BMI. It is pretty striking the difference in how they look.

Good on you for getting on top of the cholesterol early. I wish I would have been better in my younger years.
  8. Fantastic results, Charlie!
  9. Hello everyone and good evening.

Another fine shave with the R41 this morning. Took my time and did 3 passes on the face, I also did some touchup around some trouble spots this time. No blood or other nasty things like that. Now, this was a #1 shave, lasting about 8 hours before it started ruffing up. Still as good now at 7pm as I used to get from a plastic razor first thing in the morning. That's 13 hours! This is amazing to me how this is going. I would have never thought...
    I like!
On to the head shave, once again smooth sailing no issues, none. I only went 2 passes, there are thoughts floating through my mind of doing 3 passes there too. Hmmm, may be Saturday, Sunday??
    OK! OK!
I already hear some chanting at their screen...
Do it! Do it! Go for three! Go for three!....
    Well, maybe.
Next, I shave every day and I thought today was Wednesday, my beautiful wife told me today was THURSDAY!
Some where, some how, I lost a day this week. It's was busy at the start, so maybe Monday seemed like Sunday V2.0 and my mind just went with it.
Oh well, that means I'm one day ahead of where I thought I was.
    So 12 days in.
    How bout that?
    Enjoy
    Thanks

  15. Agree. Bmi is a flawed scale. We all know lean and fit when we see it.

    Thanks!
I'm very surprised at the way it's going.
  17. You are doing great, Terry! I joined the 30DC in March of this year. My goal was to try and shave every other day. There was no way my sensitive skin could handle shaving daily. Turns out my skin wasn't as sensitive as I thought. I shave daily now with any razor in my collection. It's an awesome feeling.

  18. Well it has been a busy day around here. No shave yet but I'm getting there. We left this morning to get Jennifer to her eye appointment. Time for new glasses. Spent a few bucks there. Funny how vision insurance pays something but never all of it. No matter, she's good for another year. Lunch at Potbelly Sandwich Shop. First time there and it was quite good. Meatball sandwiches with mushrooms and I even had a cream soda. Mmmmmmm good. Then, off to the Mazda dealership. Jennifer needs a car. We've been operating with only one vehicle between us for about a year and a half and it's time to fix that problem. She starts her practicum in January to head into the next phase of her preparation for Marriage and Family Therapy. So, we found this.........

We now have two Mazdas sitting out in the parking lot. The gentleman in the pictures is Carl "Kiwi" Neilson. A New Zealander who was absolutely one of the best and most enjoyable car salesmen I've met. (And I know a little about car salesmen) Talk about handing the guy a "lay down". We knew the car and color she wanted to look at and he had it. We drove it. And we bought it. Heard some great stores about New Zealand and Jennifer drove that baby home with a smile on her face. I'm just wondering - we have two CX-5's. If they were to, you know, hook up, would we get a Miata? Please?

Sorry I didn't buy a shiny new razor today but this is as close as I could get. I'll try to do better tomorrow!

  19. Thanks, Jim! Even the nurses who run the screenings say that BMI is a terrible measure of health. But it's on the form nonetheless. They don't stress about that measurement.

  20. Congratulations on the new car, Neal! Car shopping is not fun, at least for me, so a good salesman helps tremendously. A bad or slick salesman and I'm out the door.
