I finally got done sharing the news with my family and my friends here in town, so, of course I turn to my "Forum Friend" to share the good news. My wife and I have been married for 11 years and have been trying to conceive for quite a while now. Well, tonight when I got off work, she tells me the good news, we are expecting our first child! Her first sonogram is December 27th. Lots of folks have asked if we want a girl, or a boy, and to be honest I don't care either way! I just want happy and healthy! Needless to say I am a big ball of emotion! I'm happy, scared, excited, nervous, anxious, all rolled into one! Tonight, I break out the good glasses and good Scotch! Salud!
Congrats! As a father, there is little to compare to such news. I pray for you and your family. May God bless you and guide you in this new phase of your life. Sent from my DROID Turbo using Tapatalk
Huge Congratulations are in order!!! Awesome news. And I know how you feel. My wife and I were married for 10 years before we had our now not so little guy. I felt like you and didn't care what it was. Just that we were going to have a child. It's been 15 amazing years. And while some of it may have been trying at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. So, get ready for an awesome journey. Congrats again!
Thanks again you guys, I'm full of emotions right now! We aren't all the way there yet, but after our struggle it is nice to hear this news!
Congratulation on joining the rollercoaster called parenthood. As crazy as it get sometimes, I've never regretted it. My boys are in their twenties, but I still remember being in your shoes. God bless you and keep loving that new mommy of yours!
Thank you kindly. I'm having a late night glass of Dewar's 12 year old Scotch and enjoying the news. I hope y'all are all ready for LOTS and LOTS of sonogram pictures!
Thanks for the well wishes! We had almost given up hope. I guess the Lord knows what he's doing after all.
Congratulations - wonderful news! We have one son who will be 4 years old in a couple of weeks. He was born 14 premature and there was some time where we didn't think he would make it, but lots of prayer pulled him through. He's happy and healthy now (and quite the character, let me add). This is an exciting time and I urge you to take it slow and savor it because time flies. Again, congratulations!
