Thanks Clint. Yes they do. Pretty simple razors, for sure, but they should be fun to use.

Thank you, Clint. I was torn whether to get the polished or the machined, mainly because the Vector looks so good in the machined finish.

Understood, Jim. We can't all be international playboys. ;)

Fantastic razor, by the way. I can't wait to hear how it performs for you tomorrow.

The Gold one is post-War NDC with the frosted logo on the cap. I think it might even be somewhat nicer than the one I sent to you. You should never have offered to pay for the one I sent.; I feel guilty.

The newer one is a L4 (4Q66) with the travel handle, also in nice shape.

You got a seriously good deal, even without the QShave. I'd tell you that I was interested in it, but our fearless leader was supposed to be sending me one some time ago. :)

Congrats on the haul. I scored a Slim & a Fatboy a while back for around $22.00 including shipping. They cleaned up nice and shave great as well. It is hard to bet a Tech for the performance and value.

I haven't used that soap yet. Maybe you could review the soap for Wade along with your new brush. :)

For Decadent December, I have decided to finish using my razors. I am not going to repeat any I used in November or any OCs or SEs used in September or October that haven't already showed up in my November listings. So mostly completely untried razors from my collection. When I am finished with them all, some time in mid-month, then I will start just using random razors I really like.

First up today was another English-made SlimTwist, this one without a date code. The second photo compares it to yesterday's offering. Today's razor is slightly heavier with a more robust twister and a thicker handle that is both ribbed and flattened. I found it to be a great razor to use. The weight was better balanced and the handle shape provided a secure intuitive grip. Two passes gave me an error-free DFS.

For the other part of Decadent December, I am going to continue working through all my soaps and creams. I have decided to do creams first, which will take most of the month. Today's was the wonderful TOBS Lavender. Great scent and as always, a quick swirl of the brush in the tub turned into loads of excellent face lathered coverage. The TSD Lavender Milk Aftershave provided a matching finish.

good afternoon fello shavers, thought i would start dec 1 with a seldom seen treasure ,the canadian flat base aristocrat jr.quite rare today as they were only made for short time as gillette england went to the diamond stamped baseplate shortly after.late to the party.while this razor is an aristocrat jr,it was cased differently in england..this set was my first mint nos razor for sale in montreal.another first is the tobs sandalwood cream and splash.my first luxury shave cream purchase and still a favorite.and my first decent badger brush, the simpson special best badger.affordable ,a little small, but builds one heck of a lather..nacet blade and proraso white preshave complete the scene..awesome 2 pass combination shave, no drama, minor pick ups dfs..straight to tobs a/s to finish..i always feel classy after this tobs shave..decadent december has begun..have a great shave and a great day, gary 20181201_114242.jpg 20181201_122639.jpg
