    Razor: Gibbs Adjustable @jmudrick

    Soap: Boots
    Brush: Plisson Boar
    AS: British Stirling

I have had Jeff’s Gibbs for a century now. I made him a new handle out of brass. I finally got off my lazy butt and Gun Koted it.

I set it on N mid point of adjustment. Proceeded to get a very smooth shave. If I were to use it again I would dial it up a bit more.

This is a very well built piece of equipment.

I know. Funny I need to use the few I still have more often. I still use my Straights every other week. I need to add a few DE’s to the mix.

    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

After a rather frustrating day and evening I finally made it home to shave. Time for some zen of shaving. Stayed with the Toggle and Sharp Star and switched to the Fat. This has been my top soap for a long time but I'm wanting to compare it to the Sheep from Stirling. The brush tonight was my Wolf Whiskers custom Silvertip Badger, the only badger currently in my den. I got a great load out of the brush using my usual MWF technique. Wet puck, semi-dry brush, take my time loading up. Face lather produced a super-slick and cushy lather, though not as cushy as the Stirling.

Three passes, same consistency lather every time, and the baby is in the house. Alum was just a tad warm in a few areas. I'm going to blame technique for that. I was a bit heavy handed in spots. But overall a very fine shave indeed. As to my comparison of the soaps? Well, the lather I got out of the brush at the end was extremely nice, slick, cushy, but not quite to the level of The Sheep. Still, I'm not declaring a winner until I've had several more comparisons with different brushes etc.

Have a great start to your week!

The lather was thick and slick, but this shave felt a little rough, so this blade must be done after 10 shaves.
