I received a generous sample of SCS Coconut from a member at the other place and I used the entire thing at one time trying to get it to lather... very disapointing. It smelled good though running down the sink drain.

That was my experience with it as well. I really wanted it to be good stuff because the smell is awesome.

Ok someone help me out..what is suppose to be wrong with the SCS cream? did a test of the coconut that Tracy sent me. It exploded into lather.. felt slick on the fingers.. although I did not shave with it yet. I let it sit for 15 min and it was still nice and thick.. did not break down at all that I could see. Does it just not shave as good as it looks?

I'm a face latherer. Maybe the trick to SCS cream is to whip it up in a bowl like you did? I could not get it to lather when I brushed it on my face.

Might be. I usually Bowl lather... Not to say that I never face lather. But it is not often at all.

Fuzzy I never got it to explode with good lather. It is a water loving cream and I mean a lot of water, 2-4 tablespoons worth. I always found that it was a little too airy and thin.

Do you have hard or soft water?

Hard.. i actually just dipped the brush like I always do.. no extra water at all. Wish I had a good camera. It was a wonderful lather ... I am going to shave with it tomorrow and see

If you got it to that point it should be a great cream for you. The guys that have produced the same lather say this cream is phenomenal.

Now I feel better knowing it went to a good home.

Sue told me that all you had to do was soak the brush, shake out excessive water and swirl. Once the bubbles were gone it was ready to go. I tried that and never got any lather at all. So I started adding, little by little, water but could never hit the sweet spot. Shave with it and tell us what ya think.

I loved the almond. St. James was just so so smelling. Kind of perfumey and didn't last long.
