Thank you, Jim. The brush isn't new, I've had it for a while, but I only pull it out when I feel like some decadence. Soft with some good backbone, so it is a nice brush.

John, I am glad to hear your wife is improving. I'll keep her in my prayers.

    1 brush, 1 soap, 1 brand of blades, 1 razor, 30 Days.

I had my second shave for this month this morning.
Same as the first but I did two passes with plate 6 and finished up with plate 4.
This Rockwell razor may not be the prettiest or sexiest razor out there but it is a work horse.
It has a lot of low end torque.:transport022: It just keeps on pulling!
Great shave and finished up with some Clubman Pinard Classic after shave.
I like the challenge of "1 brush, 1 soap, 1 brand of blades, 1 razor for 30 days". It helps me to focus and work on my technique.

Muhle R41 (2013) head & SS Big Bomber handle
    Feather (3)
JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot
    Soap Commander Love
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Floid Vigoroso

I enjoyed an easy three-pass shave this morning on a day of growth: WTG, ATG, and XTG. I loaded extra soap onto to the brush (20 minutes per the @Primotenore method) and was rewarded with PLEN-T of SC lather. The nice thing about using the same soap every day is that it stays semi-soused in a perpetual state of bloom until its final demise. Such was indeed the case today!

Things were going exceedingly well, so I opted for the third pass. Three passes in my den occur about as often as someone issues the Triple Dog Dare 'round these parts. I had some warmth from the alum, but it was not bad. I'll call it the Kentucky Hug. I finished with Vigoroso and two shots of Aramis, so I'm rockin' old man scents on this wintry day. @Paul Turner, Tuesday is Senior Day, so I'll see you in Aisle 12.

    Happy Tuesday, gents!

Good reports and photos to start us off today, gentlemen!

Hope the cold disappears quickly, Perry. In the meantime, all the best for you and your students today!

Great photo! Interesting - I have never been a great fan of the GSB myself, as I have never felt that blade was as smooth or sharp as others. And so far, I have not had cause to change that opinion...

With all the praise, I am becoming curious to try Grooming Dept soap myself. Best of luck with your new boss!

Wonderful photo as usual. And I hope things go better for you at work today, Clint.

Wonderful pic! That B-400 always looks so snazzy!

Less burn is good. Less blood on the steel is good too!

Great shave today, Jim, with a top-shelf set up. Sounds like Grooming Dept. soap lived up to the expectations. I hope things go well today at work.

I didn't know anything about today being Senior Day, but now that I do know, I'm proud to say I honored it with my hair-care this morning(Clubman Country Club Shampoo, then Clubman Super Hold Styling Gel). I actually do have to get to the supermarket today. :). Your soap/soused comment makes sense, but I'm too much of a "variety man" to go from top to bottom of the tub of the same soap.

Yes I did, Charlie.....was good to be back. I skipped a couple upper-body routines, and cut short my treadmill time(my body was beginning to say "too much for the first day back"). But the whole process will gradually come back.

Good photo and great report! Sounds like your 30 day Rule is off to a flying start! I really like my Rockwell 6S too and agree about the looks and performance. I have tried it up to Plate 6 but have settled in on plate 3 or 4 myself (can't remember which offhand). The razor's weight makes it smooth and efficient even at a fairly mild level.

Very true about the benefit of using a soap every day. I really noticed that with The Fat -- used sporadically, the puck becomes dried out and cracked between uses but used daily, it stays moist and lathers faster.

Great shave, Charlie! Are you sure it was 1.0 days growth and not 0.98 or 1.02?

I'll be over to pick you up, shortly, Paul. You know how long the lines get at Piggly Wiggly on Senior Day.
