Today I received the second of two orders I placed with the Holy Black on black friday. I've been wanting to try the Tell-Tale Heart AS and they offer some simply packaged bottles as their "secret stash". I was very pleased with the product and availability, but the packaging overall really left something to be desired. I received the Tangerine Creeper AS yesterday and it was in a flimsy plastic bottle with a label that was too large and bunched up around the contoured edges. It works but looks and feels cheap. I wish they at least used glass. Nevertheless, the Tell-Tale Heart splash actually leaked a bit on the package invoice. Not much, so I am not going to make a claim. Both packages also were shipped in bubble wrap envelopes instead of small boxes. Again just a poor choice. Just because the products were kept simpler and did not include all the theming, they are still quality items that still cost enough to show more care. With that aside, I can't wait to try out my new Tell-Tale Heart AS. I thought it would go good with Flowers in the Dark so I did not order the Holy Black matching soap. The Holy Black claimed the AS was the center piece of the set so this was my focus. BTW, the Tangerine Creeper soap & splash was fantastic this morning. It really worked awesome and will be a great addition to the den.

Was looking for a single edge and am very happy with this one. Now for some cleaning and ordering blades! I will probably need instruction on this one!

From today's antique mall run. It's a G3. Needs a bath in the worst way. But it's functionally intact and looks like it will clean up nicely. $20.

Yaqi black mellon head on a homemade handle. See if y'all can guess what the handle made from and I'll fill you in on the details.

Would that be a compressed air can for a bb gun?

You are correct. You do not even have to drill the top out. It is the correct diameter for the tap. Of course only use a dispensed canister. I then bead blasted and painted. I also use a #10 nylon washer to prevent the handle from marring the plating on the head.

A couple of minutes actually. But only because I had to go get somebody to unlock the display case it was in.

I would have been tempted to break the glass....after all it was an emergency.:happy088: I was on Ebay about 3 weeks ago and an FB popped up as buy it now but by the time I was about to hit the buy button it was gone. Original case, blades, warranty papers and outer cardboard box for 26.00 + shipping. I was about 5 seconds to late. I did run across a good deal a few days before that when someone listed two Gillette adjustables for 15.98 plus shipping. I jumped on them quick. One was a E2 FB and H3 Slim. They cleaned great and shave great.

Nice! It looks that that is a Damaskeen, if you look under the blade door does it say "Use Only With GEM Damaskeene Blades"? Your blade order is in the mail, you should be able to shave with it shortly!

These two beautiful Paladins arrived yesterday. Along with a DE and SE blade dryer from Frugal Shave.

For those that like to take the blades out of the razor between shaves. It's a little 3d printed plastic cage that protects the edge while allowing plenty of airflow around the blade so that it can dry without rusting or tea staining. Some will argue that it's not necessary but I think it's a novel idea. And when switching back and forth between DE and SE I know my blades aren't getting banged up in my drawer.
