    December 5th
    Razor: Blackland Vector
    Blade: Schick Proline (1)
    Brush: Parker Silvertip
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: B&M Seville
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: B&M Seville

    Good morning!

I broke out my first shaving brush for this morning's shave. A Parker Silvertip purchased from Amazon. This brush is horribly lacking in density and getting less dense with every shave. Never fails to lose a few hairs with each use. They could have put half again more bristles in the knot and made a decent brush. I spent extra time loading and had enough lather for my three passes, but just barely. I've decided it is not worthy of the shelf space it takes up.

Now the good part of the shave. The Vector and the B&M Seville. Wonderful shave! Three passes, BBS result, zero feedback from the alum. Couldn't ask for a better shave.

    Have a great day! [IMG]

Up very early this morning and processed payroll for one client remotely. I was distracted during today's shave and got a couple of nicks. I was thinking about work and ended up using pressure. Let's say that the Supply #3 plate does not reward such mistakes. Other than the nicks, I ended up with a very nice BBS shave. A splash of Captain's Choice Bay Rum and I think I am ready for today. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Love the new Avatar Jim. Great shave and photo. Too bad about the brush. If you like the handle, you could steam out the knot and get a suitable replacement.

    Beautiful picture, Clint.
    Thanks, Clint.
I'll put the brush away for awhile and maybe someday I'll get motivated to do something with it.

Very nice setup, Patrick! Your experience with the GSB is interesting. Many (including myself) find the GSB to be a very smooth blade, and a go-to when taking a new razor for a maiden voyage. The Rockwell blades aren't too bad...they aren't as smooth as Russia's finest offerings, but not bad. Having said that, I wouldn't buy more, but I'll use the rest of them in my 5-pack. One of the great things about this hobby is choice...and we have tons of choices. Find what you enjoy and roll with it! :)

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Platinum Plus
    Razor: Personna injector
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Stirling Green
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Green aftershave

Easy shave this morning. Stirling Green lathered up as expected with one of my favorite brushes. The Personna is a mild injector and I'm really enjoying this vintage Gillette blades. Smooth and comfortable all around. Can't ask for much else.

    Have a great day!

    Wow! Incredible photo, Jim!
That's a shame about the brush. It has a beautiful handle, so maybe a re-knot in the future?

Good morning crew. Nothing fancy today just a three pass shave with Mike's Barber Shop. Ever Ready C-40 reknotted by @clint64 with an Envy White Two Band performed well. I love the weight of it. Topped off this one with Stirling's Barbershop aftershave followed by the Classic Scent of Brooks Brothers 1818. End result a near perfect shave. I am smooth and refreshed. Here's hoping everyone has a great Wednesday.

Thank you, Bruce and Mark! I quite enjoy Stirling Green. Based on the scent of Polo Green cologne, I find it to be light and fresh, and not overpowering. Well done duplication by Rod and Mandy.
