The good news for you, Gary, is that Soapy Bathman is in suburban Vancouver. You can probably shop with them directly. They also made the Canadian Blade branded stuff as well, I believe.

It is a great razor. I caught myself looking at them on Karve's website today. See what y'all are doing. It is getting harder and harder to resist.

Look what just arrived today! I order these right before Thanksgiving off of Ebay. I was the only bidder and got them for $8.98 including shipping. They are 20mm synthetic knots. They feel nice and soft with a good stiffness to them. I am not crazy about the looks of the handles. The handles appear to be film dipped but I am not sure. The handle have a nice feel and weight to them. What is interesting is the shipping box had Frank Shaving written all over it.

Rick you can't go wrong with the Envy Supreme White Two Band knots. Bulb or fan! I have diameters from 24-30mm and prefer the loft to be about twice the diameter.

We're making some headway. The weather is holding out for the bricklayers. After the house is bricked, stone will be laid on the front porch. Pretty exciting. :)

+1. Here is my B-400 by Tom aluminum handle with a 23 mm Envy White Supreme Two-band fan knot set at 54 mm. I have as much fun using this brush as I do with my Simpson Chubby 2 Super.

Joseph, I'm not fond of the glue dots, either, but they don't seem to affect the blade's performance. How are they a problem for you?

I don't handle DE blades once they are out of the package any more than necessary. Knowing me, I'd wind up slicing my fingers. As such, I don't try to clean a blade before it goes into the razor, and I don't remove it until it needs to replaced.

Looking great, Charlie! We don't see too many brick sided homes around here. Looks really nice!

It's fun to hear about how folks choose their avatars. I love classic sports watches, especially those with big lume. My avatar came from a gent that takes wonderful watch photos. I use this avatar in several places, and he was kind enough to give me permission to use it. Thank you, Jason. I appreciate the kind words. Brick homes are fairly common in Kentucky. Fortunately, the southeast U.S. has abundant supplies of clay. These bricks were manufactured in Georgia. I'm sure @clint64 will attest that the soil in much of Georgia has a reddish color due to the clay content. My Dad was a bricklayer, and I worked for him for seven summers in high school and college. I always notice the brickwork on homes and buildings - it's my thing - and we were fortunate to get a fantastic crew of bricklayers.

My Bride and I selected the bricks, the pattern details around the windows and along the top course near the roofline, and even the mortar color. We went to the brickyard today to make a final selection on stone that will be laid on the porch. It has been a lot of fun.

If anyone wants to know how they can motivate a kid to go to college, have them carry bricks and mix and carry "mud" for bricklayers for seven summers. It's guaranteed to work. :)
