Face or brush lather with Simpson's? It's more of a creamy soap I find.

It's definitely a shaving cream instead of a soap, and a softer cream than my usual TOBS at that. The last time I brush loaded in the tub, I dipped too hard and ended up with half the contents on my brush and had to scrape it back into the tub. So now I dip a fingertip instead of my brush. I find I can smear the fingertip load into a bowl and whip up the lather there, but it is just as easy to smear the cream on my cheek and face lather. And the result is much the same either way, especially with a synthetic brush. So today I did a straight face lather.

 

That's about how I load it too, seems a little goes a long way with Simpson's

 

This is good advice for if I choose to get Clubman's 16 oz. tub of shaving cream. It's strictly brushless.

 

Tried something a little different than before .I went with a decent badger brush and a shave cream. Boy oh boy was it the right choice. My lather was certainly better. I will try the same cream tomorrow with one of my crappy badger brushes and see if my suspicion is correct. I believe the lower quality of my badger brush makes soap loading more difficult since it is a looser packed hair.

I don't "need" an excuse to buy another brush, however this should satisfy SWMBO.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Thinking of work instead of paying attention to shaving. It’s nice that you know what went wrong and how to fix it.

Their "Smell Like A Man" looks much better than "Smellmitment" (IMNO-N standing for "Natural")

thank you, according to some sources,z3 and z4 superspeeds were only packaged in blue tv cases. am presently looking for a case for it..and yes i love it.i get fantastic shaves with it ,very smooth..
