For my Decadent December, I'm still working on lathers. Well this one today was great! ToBS and a synthetic brush, super easy.

Yesterday I said it was DEcadent to have so many generous friends on the 30DC. Today's shave is proof- everything here was either a trade or pif/gift from folks. The Soap was a surprise gift last Christmas from Adam @Drygulch, the razor was part of a trade with Andrew @Linuxguile, the near unobtanium blades were part of a trade with Keith @Keithmax, the knot was another of the incredible Shavey Awards from @BaylorGator and the Splash was one of many gear exchanges back and forth between John @Screwtape and I.
As for the shave itself- I think everyone is well aware of what I think of this MonoBilt, as well as the quality of the Jeeves lather. The brush was able to keep up with the soap, the blades rock (when dealing with unobtanium, is it better to use sparingly or just say, these are really good and they will get used soon?) and the splash scent is rising above Meh status. I think I'll do another one of these DEcadent tribute shaves on the weekend. Life is good.
    Have a great day all!

Pulled out the big guns for tonight's annual hospital Christmas party.
I am also keeping my fingers crossed, that Mrs. Primo approves of my soap/ASB choice.
She gave me the thumbs down when I
first used Asylum Shave Works Tobacco.
    "Too sweet, I prefer savory"

For reference, she really likes the Colonia scent. She approves of Floïd Blue, and of all things, ck one!
    We'll see...more domani.
I commented on the SOS page, that there was not one single reference to Pearl Harbor in
The Indianapolis Star. (owned by Gannett of the USA Today papers)

I wrote a letter to the editor, complaining bitterly.
I have my doubts that it'll be printed.
I know this is a shave forum, but I cannot help but lament the direction that our country is headed.
It actually keeps me awake nights.
    Sorry for the digression. :(

I forgot to pack a strop this trip but have managed to use denim on a desktop. Still had a very nice shave this morning.

Sounds like you got good news from the Doc! A pretty decadent combo as well.
    Sigh...
Hope the commute wasn't horrible today, Clint. At least it is Friday!
Love the look of that Lather Catcher. Enjoy your weekend, Perry!
Yup- that is decadent! Love the LC, love the custom handle and love Cool. Awesome.
Another fantastic write up, John. I hadn't thought about the 'break' from TTOs in that way. Interesting that you call the Aristocrat a 'presentation piece'. I hadn't heard it referred to in that way.
    Bang On, Perry.
They realized that there was a service beyond self, that there are causes that are bigger than us.
Same holds true for that generation north of the border as well.
Yup, TOBS is a nice, easy lather, no question. Lots of very 'British Cologne' scents as well.
Safe travels home, Brian. I know you'll be happy to get there.
