Today was a Nivea day. The old school boar brush made short work of the cream. I had a much improved lather this time. Thank you all for the help. Slowly but surely I am getting there.

    December 8th
    Razor: Rex Ambassador (6.5)
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Brush: SOC badger
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: B&M Reserve Fern
    Stirling mentholated witch hazel
    AS: B&M Reserve Fern

    Good morning!

The alphabet provided a truly decadent shave to start the day. A favorite razor, a favorite soap in a wonderful scent and a brush that I've forgotten just how good it is.

Three passes with the wide open Rex left me dolphin smooth. The tiniest tickle from the alum on my Adam's apple. Terrific shave!

    Have a great weekend! [IMG]

    Good saturday morning, well.....
    To every one anyway!

    How do I start this?
    First the good news.
I got a near perfect 3 pass face shave. No blood, itch, and close oh baby!
The head shave was to die for so to speak. Yes, if I met my maker this morning (no plans for it mind you) he would probably comment, that is a wonderful shave, diy? Oh and that gord! Smooth man smooth! Turtle Wax?
    Now the bad.
Durring the first pass of the old gord I pull my ear lobe down to get behind it, normal stuff. Well woudn't you know, I nicked the back of my ear lobe. It didn't bleed much, it did take my styptic pencil to stop it, blood thinners.
But ya know, ever feel so "you idiot"
I know better! Things go through your mind like..THERE IS A REASON THEY DON'T LET BABIES PLAY WITH SHARP OBJECTS! MAYBE YOU SHOULD GROW A BEARD! DUMMY! Every thing about this mornings shave was so nice UNTIL....
Realy, it wasn't all that bad, but the fact it happened at all...bummer.
I thought I was paying attention.
Well there goes that theory, must be some kinda fuzzy logic, shure wasn't shavy logic.
To sum it all up, the shave both head and face, wonderful, top notch 4.5 stars, but I nicked my pride of the 30DF.
    Well.....
    Till Sunday
    enjoy

Yeah, so I haven’t had time to be on here much. I’m on page 15, and the thread is on 93. I’m going to break my catch up post into a few posts.

Been a busy week on the homefront. My youngest turned 3. The home renovation seems to finally be moving along. Also have gotten three great shaves this week. Broke into my Black Friday Stirling purchases.

Dec 1: Stirling Bonaparte. Rod put a post on Facebook saying how many complaints he got about this soap, and how he didn’t want to make it again. The scent notes are Thyme, Rosemary, Bergamot, Lavender, Petitgrain, Lime, Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Ylang Ylang, and Tangerine, which seemed right up my alley. I love the scent. Mrs. Gulch does not, and called it my Elba soap. It’s a good one to pick when I want to be banished to the workshop or something. Humble pre-war Tech, Russian blade, and a new boar brush. It shed a lot, but is comfortable. Three passes, and a DFS, but had some irritation on the neck.

    Blackland Dart with Triad Ti
    Personna Med Prep
Elite Razor Laramar with TGN Finest
    Panna Crema Nuavia Blu
    Barrister and Mann Reserve Cool
    Brooks Brothers Blue

Wonderful shave today with the Blackland Dart. Hefty load with the Laramar Silvertip made a thick, slick fragrant heap o' Blu lather. The richness of the Nuavia Soaps is amazing. Two passes plus cleanup and the Baby is in the house. Finished with Reserve Cool and BB Blue. Oh so smooth and refreshed I am ready for a super Saturday. You have a great shave today, and you know who you are.

Dec 3: Stirling Black Pepper Lime. Great scent, like an earthy lime if that makes sense. One of my favorite straights, not a super showy blade, but a great shave: Kinfolks The Ace. Stirling boar shed 20 or so hairs. It was a good shave.
