Random chance as I drove up on an estate sale. Someone beat me to the brushes & razors, but left a dozen aftershaves. I only chose the Old Spice Leather.
The Old Spice products sold in Canada are carbon copies of products made in the U.S.A. They just made them bilingual.
As posted in the Haul, yesterday I found 1987 Wild Country cologne spray and WC Musk cologne in that odd wide-bottom bottle with the bull emblem on it.
Topped off the left hand bottle with Aqua Velva Musk, which as you can see is the same color as the old Avon. It upped the musk just a hair, otherwise no real difference. Powder, musk and a hint of green. Blindfolded, anyone who knows old Avon would know this is old Avon.
Nice haul @verkoda! Avon wasn't one for innovation, but they did decent copies of popular scents. Do you have some Old Spice to compare the two? If you have a moment, visit The Welcome Center and make your introduction! It's always good when new members join us here at TSD.
Vintage Shulton Old Spice. I got lucky and got them both, as a set, for $20.50 delivered. The Ships Wheel's gold is peeling badly, but it is full. Both smell, as they should, great. I just bought them for the juice. They don't make this stuff, anymore, and nothing smells like it, past or present. Left: Ships Lantern Right: Ships Wheel
That's what your Prime Minister has to do when he makes his State Of The Nation speech.....do it bi-lingually.
