Wonderful shave and photo, Rick! Those would be Personna Blues. That was a favored blade of mine before switching to injectors and SEs. Glad they’re getting some use!

Another 30DC Inspired DEcadent shave tonight. Still going with the MonoBilt and Russian Blues combo from @Linuxguile and @Keithmax respectively. Pulled out the Latha I got in a trade with Randy @BaylorGator and the Jeeves splash is from another trade with John @Screwtape. The Cypress for the handle was generously provided by Rick @RyX.
Pleasant enough 2 pass’er. Quite smooth on my face, but can feel a little sandpaper on my lower neck. A few small weepers around my mouth as well. At least I get to try again Monday.
Have a great Sunday tomorrow, all!

Sorry my shave post is an evening late I have been extremely busy lately. But I decided to go with selections that always deliver a great result. Even though I have some far better looking razors this old Bismarck gives an amazing shave every time. It’s my go to razor when I have a big night planned. It delivered on a nice smooth no incident three pass shave. The event was my company’s Christmas dinner party, it’s a great time with a lot of really good friends and their families.

Sorry I am late but things have been busy today. I did get a 30dc shave in today around 5:00 P.M. I had an old friend swing by and pick me up that I have not seen in a while for a quick bite. I converted him to wet shaving about three years ago. He has a couple of old Gillettes and a Jagger. He just left with my Rockwell 6C (on loan) and some Voskhod blades to try out. I look for him to end up buying a 6S. I also give him a puck of Williams to try as well. I think he may be getting RAD.

On to the shave for today.

    Omega Boar Brush.
    Palmolive Sensitive Shave Cream
    The glorious salsa\Timeless bowl scuttle.
    Rockwell 6S
    Voskhod Blades
Nivea Men Sensitive Post Balm Shave
    Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion

Two passes with plate 5 and finished up with plate 3. Applied some Nivea and then followed up a few minutes later with the Pinaud Clubman Aftershave from the Tabasco bottle. We have got to get on over into January. As much as I love my Rockwell and it is my go to razor. I have some razors that are feeling neglected plus I have a Executive Fatboy on the way. Goldie is calling.

Late posting but here it is . Bought this shick in an auction and its puzzling me as to what type it is . Head like an E2 but has seamed handle like a G. Shaves more aggressive than my E2 also but seems very smooth. Just says patent 1937. Made in Canada. Injector key says same . Now on to the shave ....
The scents were picked out by the misses as we were attending a Christmas party for her work . She absolutely loves the TOBS Eton College. ( Pointed her to Amazon) and the Polo Black she bought for me . Brush is a JR29 badger. Next shave will be the 1912 Gem British made which I purchased from same seller .

Beautiful pic and great shave Danny. 30 days seems like forever I know. But in hindsight I was glad I did it. Then the next month I did 30 days of shavette, what a way to break into wet shaving .

    Decadent December!!

    December 8, 2018

Razor - 1918 Gillette Old Type
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush - Semogue 620
    Post - Alum

Continuing with the second "decadence of the past" shave using the 1918 OT and Treet carbon blade. I went with another "old timer" soap. It's been in production since 1893 sand it's a true classic. Mitchell's Wool Fat, or "the Fat" as we often call it. Still in my top two soaps, currently competing with Stirling Sheep for the honor of being number one. I chose my most basic boar brush to keep it authentic to natural brushes from the past. The Semogue 620 loaded quickly and easily and produced a fine lather.

I couldn't quite remember yesterday why I had "dinged" the Treet Dura Sharp blade and ranked it lower than the Treet Double Edge "Black Beauty". Well, I remembered tonight. The Dura Sharp gave a fine shave last night. Quite excellent, really. And, I'd like to report that it followed up with the same tonight. That, however, would be a lie. A bit on the rough side in spite of being kept out of the razor in its wrapper since last night and no sign of any rust at all. Seems like the edge just goes away faster. And, it caught me twice with small nicks. A little blood, nothing major, but the finish was DFS. Not the same experience as day one. I'm debating whether or not to choose a different carbon for the finale of this mini-theme tomorrow night. We'll see how brave I am tomorrow.

Hope your Saturday was a great one! I'm a bit behind with some special packages arriving today......Stirling order (mostly for my wife but I snuck some soap and a brush in) and my Secret Santa package arrived today!!! Gonna go post it up over there next and then later I'll share it here too for those who don't see it over there. I'm happy. Very happy. Santa rocks.

For tomorrow night's shave, maybe tape the blade to your finger( can be done apparently so I hear) That would be brave and decadent at the same time.
