Anywhere North of 3, but my personal preference is wide open. It looks like an enormous blade gap, but the alignment with the head makes it a super smooth shave if you ride the cap.

A sleepy Sunday morning here.
Hope every one is fine and dandy out there!

On December 18th I will have finished the 30 day focus rule and I'm doing great. Above is just some of the razors I acquired during my stint on the R41.
Will be nice to try some of them out before my next 30DFR.
Didn't try to cut off any limbs or extremities this morning, a happy thing. Did a 3 pass shave on the face and some touch up, did a 3 pass shave on the head. Both were fantastic. I am picky anymore about calling a BBS shave, but this one would pass the cotton test, hands down. Bowling ball smooth on top, smooth and soft for the rest. No issues, just a nice quiet plesant shave, as it should be. I still have all my fingers, toes and ear lobes too, lol.
Looks like I'm getting down to the bottom of the soap but I have 2 extra tubs. About 22 days in and I have come a long way. See what the next 8 days bring me in this endeavor.

Finally starting to see a marked improvement in my lathers. Not all the way there, bit better than before.
Today being Sunday, thought I would treat myself, used a cream instead of a soap and it turned out great!

Yup, got a tub of Route 66 Barbershop Hop from Charlie @wristwatchb that goes well with the Clubman. That'll be my next mini-Rule setup!

Thanks Charlie! I scored mine in a trade with Tom @twhite. It's shy some gold wash on the cap from being enjoyed by previous user and I'm OK with that. Besides an all brassed out NEW LC that would look good in nickel it's one I might get plated. I understand modern plating last much longer than the original gold wash.

I enjoyed yesterday's shave so much I decided to repeat the shave with a different aftershave. Three passes and a near epic shave. I little weeper buffing ATG on my chin spoiled things. A splash of Balsamica and I am off to take my Mom to lunch. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

It's starting to get bigger, last count was 55. That was the count in September, I think I'm at 22 soaps and creams. My SAD is kicking in too.

Thanks for the thread link Rick. This one is definitely old and really loved, so much that I picked up two others of the same model. I thought of making a seven day set but can only find one more and it seems they really love it too with the price they are asking.

 

Add the right spirts to it, amazing how it livens up a "dip" .
