That is such a cool looking razor. I always enjoy seeing the photo when it comes up in rotation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll have to retrain myself. I think I'll try North to South first. Thank you! The brush is pretty cool! I'll start at 4/5 then. I'll have to adjust based on the blade I'm assuming. Thank you! Thanks! Good tips Rick! Thank you! Thank you! Ying Jili is a chinese blade that came with my Weishi Razor. It was the first DE blade I had ever tried. It's actually not too bad now that my skills are better. Well...it wasn't quite a exactly a PIF but really Andrew Generously offering some brushes to the 30day crew. I was just lucky enough to be one of the ones chosen. Thanks though! I do consider myself fortunate to be on the receiving end of generosity at this forum. I hope to be able to be on the giving end soon.
thank you, i like the grecian horse scent more so i bought the aftershave, fantastic stuff that is..i was thinking about declaration grooming, and paa doppelganger soaps but now i am going to stay with a and e .not wanting to chase soap bases latest and greatest. a and e ticks all the boxes and the asian plum i can use all the time for midweek shaves s as i don t use aftershaves on workdays, just thayers witch hazel ,maybe a balm and an edt.save the grecian set for special days..
Have a great time this afternoon Perry. Hard to believe Wilson is already 4. Happy birthday Wilson. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

December 9 SOTD: Razor: Gillette Diplomat Blade: Rapira Swedish Super Steel Brush: PAA The Green Ray Lather: Stirling Haverford Aftershave: Stirling Haverford Additional Care: Stirling Unscented PSB You would think with lots of down time this weekend, I would have an easier time keeping up, but this is proving to be difficult as ever. Lots of great pictures this morning from everyone. I finally got one of my Black Friday packages in, the one From Stirling, so I had to try out the Haverford. It is a terrific scent with some great pipe tobacco and vanilla. I get a little chocolate scent as well, with a spicy woodsy base. Really a great scent. The lather is the color of the froth on a hot cup of coco. This is instantly a favorite of mine. The Diplomat knocked down three days of growth, and my face is now nice and smooth. It feels good to get a good shave in after a lazy weekend recouping. I am looking forward to a slow afternoon as well. I hope everyone has a great day!
Beautiful pic Brian, love the Bismark. Garbage truck eh? Hmmm, funny story. When I was a kid I was fascinated by the garbage truck, 20 years later I got hired by a garbage company to do truck maintenance and welding and painting on dumpsters . You get used to the smell after awhile lol I love that brush Gary , great pic once again. Jim , your description of that soap really distracted me as i was reading it, I'm adding Haverford to my want list now . Thank you for your subtle enabling abilities my friend.
Thanks! I'm looking at straight razors to keep me busy. Got a few, want to learn how to hone and strop the "correct" way. Still are some SE and DE razors that catch my eye. I'm all in, yep. tp
Thank you, Clint! Nice photo and shave, Jim! Haverford is a nice scent. I remarked that the lather looked like melted chocolate ice cream but hot cocoa is also a great description. Thank you, Doug! Thank you!
