It is definitely a terrific performer. I have After the Fire, which sounds like the same scent as Before the Fire but with some smokiness. It would be interesting to compare the two.
Love the B&W shot, Jim! Great shave and some cuddle time with your little girl, excellent start to the day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thank you, Jim. It was definitely a nice morning, although I hung around the house for a few minutes too long. There is something about a little girl that just makes her daddy not want to leave.
I hear you, Jim. My daughter is 28yrs old now and she's still my little girl. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
It's a good scent. I think the reference in his description involves a guitar battle between Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page.
Well guys, wish me luck, I'm using Williams today for Williams Wednesday. I'm going to use a stiff badger brush, and load it like it owes me money. I have read the posts here but I'm not able to catch up on all of them. I will post the obligatory photo once done
Hey Paul - I'm on a sandalwood Focus with all both of my soaps in that scent. I haven't tried any products by Tcheon Fung Sing. I wasn't able to find a list of ingredients. Tallow or vegan? How's the lather and scent?
December 12 Muhle R41/Big Bomber SS Sputnik (1) JR #160 SC Love Alum, Thayers WH, USB, Fine L'Orange Noir Using a really light touch and good skin stretching resulted in my best shave ever with a Sputnik blade. Maybe I'm beginning to dial them in. I performed a two-pass shave that is very close and comfortable, with nary a weeper. As you can see from my photo, JR #160 has broken in nicely. If this was my one and only brush, I'd be very happy with it. The handle feels good in hand, it quickly builds a huge lather, and it has such a nice face feel. I splashed on some Fine L'Orange Noir (one of my favorite AS scents), and I'm ready for a big Wednesday. We are doing a house walk through, and we've volunteered to serve as greeters for a Christmas event at our church this afternoon and evening. Have a great day, gents!
In case anyone is wondering, I have more SC Love in the tub today than when I started using it up a few weeks ago. The good news is that it remains in a perpetual near bloom state with daily use. Lather explodes on the puck as soon as I remove the cap, and it sees JR #160. I'm glad I like using it. I may be celebrating the 4th of July with it.
