Better than usual lather!

 

Seeing that Randy @BaylorGator ranks Grooming Dept. right there at the very top with Wholly Kaw on his soap review thread, it just makes me want to try WK even more.
I wasn't quite sure what to think of the scent of Before the Fire initially, however the more I use it, the better I like it. During the shave today, I was trying to pay more attention to the scent. I can't figure it out (despite reading the scent notes), which makes it more interesting.

December Focus

RazoRock XXX (R.I.P.)~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~1938 Gillette Senator~~Polsilver SI
Well, believe it or not, Mr. Ripley, Primo has finished his XXX gear.
(Actually my 4th tub of RR XXX soap since February 2014)


There is definitely a sense of accomplishment, considering since November, I have titaniced my way through
3 different products.
The Simpson CH2 made finishing up the soap a breeze. What I really like about this brush is that you can
really splay the heck out of it; scrub till the cows come home and never have to worry about damaging the knot.
I can see how some shavers choose to stick with synthetics.
OC TTO on deck today: 1938 Gillette Senator. This is mos def an elected official that has my vote.
The Polsilver SI was efficient and still sharp and smooth today.
Went for the baby and caught that lil' rascal.
Splashed on some Thayer's and the final squirt of the XXX ASM.
That little bottle lasted nearly 5 years. Buh bye.
Will I miss the RR XXX
Perhaps, but not nearly enough to re-purchase.
That chapter of my shaving life is history.
Tomorrow's shave...

King Cobra with UFO Apollo Ti

Asylum Saponificio Varesino Colonia
Fine Italian Citrus
ADP Colonia Essenza

Today's shave was terrific. King Cobra was wonderfully smooth with a Schick Proline blade. Two passes and a little cleanup along the jawline was all she wrote. Ruby Synthetic and SV Colonia made for an incredible lather. Finishing with Fine Italian Citrus and ADP Colonia Essenza I am orca smooth and incredibly refreshed. Have a great shave today friends!
