  2. When I'm not hanging out over in the SE and Injector party, I'll come by here.
I have a love for Vintage Gillette Razors, and when I think I have enough, I trade for something else that I want.

Is this vintage enough? Date code reads B4, according to a comment on my shave video that makes it a 1956.

  10. This week I have been shaving with my L3 Gillette Slim from 1966. It is 52 years old, so I guess it qualifies as a vintage Gillette. I picked it up at a yard sale on September 21, along with a dispenser of Gillette Super Blue Blades from 1977.

It cleaned up really nice, and it has been an excellent shaver. My preferred setting for the Slim is 7. Today, I used my Jayaruh #18 silvertip badger brush and Williams Mug Shaving Soap. I finished off with Aquavelva Sensitive 5 in 1 ASB.

  12. Sunday, I have my birth year razor ready to go for the Sunday shave.
I was lucky to find it for a decent price.
1985 black beauty. Has the black plastic instead of the metal bottom cap.
Not sure it that will qualify or not.
  13. Today I used my Post War Ball End Tech, Klar Rasierseife and Speik afershave. My home made brush whipped up a nice lather and provided the cushion necessary for the Tech to produce a very nice smooth shave.

    Cold Water Wash
    Tabac Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #18
    Gillette Slim
    Gillette Super Blue Blade X3
    CWR
    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #18 brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Slim Razor with a Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
