Does having a haunted razor change the shaving characteristics? Well, not that I can tell. However, the Deluxe head is a bit heavier than the standard New head. That definitely makes it a bit different. But, my Deluxe is also a short comb, so I have nothing to compare it to from that standpoint. Meaning, I have a Long Comb regular, short comb deluxe - not sure how much difference to credit the deluxe head or the comb length to. Am I making any sense? Can anyone hear me besides the voices in my head? Sorry...just walked in from an hour long crawl to go 19 miles in rain and idiot drivers. I'll catch my breath and try again.

My Felce is 4.3 base and is very hard soap. At least as hard as MdC. I seem to recall it had the stamp on top of the soap as well. I wonder if Colonia being made the vendor has some bearing on the differences.

 

Great looking shave Bruce. Just be thankful the crew showed up. With my luck that is usually the problem.

Very possible, Clint. My Felce is the 4.0 and is super-hard and was stamped. Asylum Shave Works is in name only. SV is producing the soap and it wouldn't surprise me if there are some cost-cutting measures in place. BTW, the same Colonia 4.0 was stamped and was much firmer.
