Didn’t check a bag through for this one night trip. Out came the fixed head cart for the first time in probably 6 or 8 months. Got the usual excellent Palmolive lather and did 2 passes with el cheapo. 3 blades, 2 passes, tried to keep a light touch which is nigh impossible with a razor this light. Decent enough finish without any irritation.
Finishing with the Gentleman is always a good thing (except when I’m at home ).

I enjoyed another nice and easy two-pass shave using the R41 loaded with a Sputnik blade. I've finally figured out what works best for this blade. I just took my time, and everything came together. I'm using a very light touch with the R41, and I don't even notice the size and weight of the Big Bomber SS handle. Now that I've dialed it in, I find the Soap Commander to be a nice (but not great) soap. Rose is not my favorite soap scent; however, the Fine L'Orange Noir was the perfect finish.

I have one Sputnik blade left in my stash, and then I'll be glad to move on. I've got a few other Russians to try thanks to @NCoxSTL. I also have a couple of tucks of Lord DE's that came as a bonus from an eBay seller. I've used about a third of my soap tub, and I probably have enough to last through January.

I updated My Shave Den. I italicized the blades, creams, soaps, and aftershaves I intend to use up and not replace. I'm heading for smaller rotations of favorite products that I've identified over the past few years. I'll eventually add one cream back to the rotation, likely TOBS. I have a lifetime supply of blades, so no planned additions there. My razor inventory has bumped up slightly as of late. I'm good here as well, unless I encounter something really cool.
