Nice finish to my shaving week. Two pass, minor touch-up, BBS shave. Very easy to whip up some fine lather with the Derby creams. Slick with decent cushion. Topped off with a splash or two of HBG's Bay Rum and I'm good to go.

Very nice close “French Connection “ shave on this Saturday morning. The soap has a really nice French talc type odor. Not the thickest lather, but nice and slick for a str8 shave. Finished off old school style with a handful of the Veg.

 

It's not bad but it comes a fair way down in the pecking order imo.

 

Today's shave was very special.
See, while playing poker with friends, I was gifted a new to me razor. The young man who gave it to me is the son of one of my oldest friends. I've watched him grow from a boy to a devoted husband and father. He's sort of like a nephew, but one I've got to enjoy as a friend. He had ran across a very nice razor at an estate sale, and thought of me.
So I cleaned it up a bit, hand loaded a blade (one i had left over from the bunny pass-around), and used my new to me Schick repeating razor(B2)
Chick schick(used)
Stirling Bergamot Lavender soap and aftershave balm.
Three passes for a darn fine shave, one little blood spot on my neck reminded me if the difference and sharpness that the injector blades deliver.
This will hold a special part of my collection, one I've pondered on but hadn't filled. Now fulfilled with a endearing attachment.

Do you do anything to the blades before using them? I’ve tried using blue blades in the past and they only tug.

The GEM blade is much smoother after a few shaves. Close comfortable shave today and no irritation. Cold water shaving with a rigid blade has made such a difference.
