I hear you. Best, Finest, Super, etc. can all be pretty subjective by brand. FWIW, I have a few Thaters and they are all very high quality knots. They are pretty selective about the hair they use, so no worries there.
I wondered if anyone would get the reference, and then realized we’re a bunch of old guys, and probably everyone got the reference. For you youngsters, here’s a recap
Unfortunately, @Terry doesn't have access to the leftover canned stuff from St. Louis that you're using for cleaning his razors.
Excellent shave and photo Charlie. I hope you’ve been having a great day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
way better scent, the stick has tallow, easier to lather. the bowl has a fake plastic vibe to it.used the bowl soap on and off for many years as well as williams before i switched to de shaving.i still have and use the bowl once in a while for old times sake..it did the job..i prefer the wilki stick scent over the derby /arko scent but the performance is great like derby/arko..
I picked up some Palmolive shave sticks and tubes of cream on a trip to the Old Country last year. I passed on the Wilkinson bowls because I didn't know if the soap was any good. I don't remember seeing the Wilki shave sticks, but I'm sure I just wasn't looking close enough. If we go back, I plan to load up on Palmolive and Wilkinson. I can probably fill a suitcase for $40.
