Not yet...I look at it a lot but I haven’t used it yet. I have 37 razors in rotation and it was my first vintage Gillette at an insanely cheap price. Some day...

Besides the NOS Tech I have a 59 Fatboy that is a mint, cased example that I have not used yet but I have a 60 Fatboy that was procured for me by a friend down in Texas...it is also in very clean condition. I will use the Tech at some point.

If they don't produce the razor anymore it qualifies. A Gillette Sterling would get you thrown out of the thread.

Today's shave set at 5. Still an aggressive shaver, feel is like a 47/48 - 53 Aristocrat but that is where the similarity ends. Quality of the shave is not the same more akin I would say to something like a 60s style super speed or 58 TV Special.

Today's shave set at 1. If I had to compare it to another Gillette somewhere between a 50s flare tip and blue tip. It is not as mild as a blue tip or aggressive as a 50s flare tip on this setting. I'd like to say it is more aggressive than a Tech of the same time period at a 1 setting but it has been awhile since I used one. This gave me some irritation under the nose on the ATG pass on the 1 setting something that a Tech doesn't do so that is my basis for saying that.

I have an 01 which I love! Great razor and shaves just a little better than my 64 Slim or 66 A’crat. Would love to pick a minty 109 but the shorty is a favourite....

I don't know if they are different shave wise but the BB razors came in 2 specific base plate styles. The earlier style is shaped like the Slims and later styles are squared. The 109 I was using is the later style this one the 84 is the earlier style.
