here is my Sunday Shave (3rd Advent)


Razor: 1960 Gillette Fatboy / Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium / Brush: Plisson Synthetic / Soap: Meißner Tremonia Himalayan Heights / Aftershave: Pino Silvestre / Pomade: Nordmann Christmas Limited Edition (Gingerbread scent)

It´s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Great shave!!! The Fatboy is a fantastic combination with this blade. For me, it was a very gentle shave (with the grain on setting 4, across on 2 and against on 1). Very very smooth.

I love those shaves, which are so wonderful, that they should last forever. Fantastic.

Many years ago when Weishi appeared on the scene....I joined the rush to find out what it was all about. I used it a few times and promptly relegated it to the back of the drawer as I could not get a decent shave. With the news that the new Wilkinson Sword TTO is probably manufactured by Weishi I decided to have another go to see how they compare.
The Weishi is a challenging razor to use. The first pass is easy. With longer stubble it is easy to find the 'sweet spot'. With subsequent passes it is more difficult to maintain the correct angle and I am assuming my technique has improved as I had a DFS+ with 3 passes. It was a lovely smooth and close shave even though the razor (for me) is milder than the Wilkinson. I am on Nights tonight so I will see how the shave holds out.....but is feeling good at the moment

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Ingram Shaving Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 brush. I did two passes with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Hayashi Diamond 8000; Soap Commander 'Renewal' (floral fougére) soap and balm, Shaveworks custom silvertip brush. Have a blessed day, gents!

LASS Woody Lavender today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Razor/WSP Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna Med Prep still in the Gillette NEW Short Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Highlands aftershave.
