Thanks John. We love our sweet kids.
Thanks Bruce. Yes, it's Super Badger, and it has a great face feel. Good backbone and very soft tips. It really eats up the soap.
Thanks Mark. You too, my friend!

Nice 'Menthol Monday' shave this morning. I don't consider most of my soaps to be seasonal, but this one is an exception. I've enjoyed using the Aristocrat Jr for a few shaves now. I don't reach for it probably as often as I should, but I guess I could say that about a few razors. It is a smooth shaver- quite mild, but that's ok.
3 easy passes later and I'm smelling like lots of earthy things. Not completely smooth on my neck, but a good start to the week.
    Have a great day all!

Like @wristwatchb , I don't like to brag. Having said this, I believe I am already on pace for another try at a NB year-2020 is the aim this time. I expect to have most of my soaps around for quite a long time, and that would include, of course, those I'd like to by in 2019. I should be able to get rid of some in 2019 as well. Anyway, for now NB 2020 looks good for me, and we still have two weeks to go in 2018.

I decided to go with the Supply SE and #3 plate today. I did change out the Proline going with the Personna that came with the razor. Overall an acceptable shave at best. The Personna just is no where as sharp as the Proline. I’ll switch back before the next shave. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

    All I can say is...finally. :happy036:
Finally a lather that is slick...really slick. :happy088:
    Finally a post-shave worthy of note...superb, in fact. :happy108:
    Finally a BBS shave---without even trying. :happy093:

I attempted to like the 100% vegetable soaps, really I did.
    The ersatz "fat"
simply is sub-par; not to mention, really drying on my skin. :rolleyes005:
The ingredient lists read like chemistry dissertations. :shocked029:
I know there are those of you who enjoy these soaps and even get great shaves from them. My hat's off to you. :eatdrink047:
I am a tallow guy, unabashedly so.

I still may use my non-tallow soaps on occasion, but I am DONE purchasing new ones.

Ain't gonna happen no mo. :rolleyes005::rolleyes005::rolleyes005:
    :signs011:

In fact, I am debating purging my den of them, via BST threads. :signs002:
Today, my tobacco infused MWF was so happy to see me, it allowed itself to be transformed into a
    most luxurious, thick, slick wonder.
The Personna 74, inserted in my 1947 Super-Speed was so happy to have an ice-skating rink to play on,

IT rewarded me with 3 of the nicest, smoothest passes ever performed.
My skin was so happy to be nourished with lanolin, that it rewarded me with a
wonderfully soft, comfortable feel---sure to last the entire day.
    What a shave!

Nice shave, John. Those regular flare tips are underrated in the vintage Gillette hierarchy, imho.
Still recovering from Phuket? Catching up from a trip away is becoming nigh impossible these days!
You’ve been nailing the Rick Pics this past week! Glad you carved a bit of time out for yourself.
A great, simple photo, Charlie! Have a great day with the kids. I know you have made a difference in their lives.
Another stunner, Jim. No d,e or f? You need to rectify that omission. Executive Man comes to mind...
Great Menthol Monday shave! She chose well.
    Very nice photo, Mark.
Very interesting. You have the Tom Ford and two highly regarded dupes on the same day. So...which comes closest?
Try to enjoy the training, John. Safe travels home if you are leaving tonight.
A simple, classic ‘Clint shot’. Another very interesting post. I much prefer the Personnas to Chicks, and you aren’t the first to laud the virtues of the Proline. Way sharper than Personnas? Very solid enabling...

Nice photo and shave, Clint! You're right that Prolines are much sharper than Personna and Chicks. Glad the Prolines are working for you with the Supply.

    Great shave, Aaron!

Wonderful photo, Joseph! The Fat always delivers. Slick with such nice post-shave feel. I'll always have Mitchell's in the den.
