Soak it in alcohol, shake it out, a few times if needed, that should do it. Use 50% or greater.

When you retire, Neal, you'll start saving them. Just check the pages for splinters before use and watch out for paper cuts.

 

Looks great. That Oneblade brush is an awesome brush. You have me wanting to try some Stirling soaps. I have been eyeing the Ozark as well. Your 6S needs some black paint in the "Rockwell" stamps on the base plates. Great picture!

 

My D3 Adjustable Executive came into today. I run across this on E-bay with a cup and brush. I just could not turn it down for the price. The adjustable plate was sticking and the adjustment dial was stuck. The interesting thing was that it came with a Gillette razor blade that was dated W3 (1976). To think that this razor has set unused for 42 year is amazing. The razor went for a hot water soak followed by an old toothbrush with dish detergent. After several soakings and a little penetrating oil she freed up. I then lightly polished that razor with Never-dull Wadding Polish. There is some slight gold loss on the doors and safety bars but other than that it looks amazing. Now I am thinking about breaking the 30dc as try this thing out in the morning. I do not think I can resist.

 

Here's a problem I imagine many of us face(and that will include me in a few months)....I believe I'll run out of my Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber aftershave and still have a considerable amount of the matching soap left. Some solutions come to mind, but I won't worry until the A.S. is close to the end.

 

The Executive looks amazing, Danny. You did a great job on the spa treatment. Can't wait to see how it performs for you.

Lets see...I’m partly responsible for you wanting a Karve, and now some Stirling...

Enable mode - on.
You really must experience Stirling soaps (might as well grab matching aftershave and/or balms and bath soaps while you’re there). Stirling is almost a requisite for every den - for good reason. It’s a top tier soap, and it’s value priced. There’s a flavor for everyone too. For many of us, that’s the soap by which all others get judged.

Not sure about a particular scent? They have generous sized sample pucks too.
