Oneblade Synthetic Brush – 20mm knot
    Palmolive Sensitive Shave Cream
    Salsa\Timeless bowl scuttle
    Gillette Adjustable Executive
    Voskhod Blade
Nivea Men Sensitive Post Balm Shave

Started out at setting 5 on the checks. Bumped it up to 7 and finished the shave up. Two passes and a little clean up work and it was smooth. Applied some Nivea post balm shave and followed up with Pinaud Clubman Classic.

I believe the 30dc has help with my technique because this shave seems to be better than my one and only shave so far with my Fatboy.

The Executive of course gives a comparable shave as the Fatboy and I was really impressed with the Executive and the shave this morning.

So how does it compare to my Rockwell and will it bump my Rockwell from the top spot. No it will not. Both razors are excellent shavers and I am used to the Rockwell more. There is just something about the solidness, construction and weight of the Rockwell that I like. Will the Executive be put on a shelf only to be looked at and never used again? Of course not. Goldie will show up from time to time and on special occasions. I really do like the Executive and I am blessed to own one. If you ask me a month ago would I own one I would have told you no but a good buy became available and I could not turn it down. I guess that is part of the fun of this hobby. You never know what is coming to the den next.

Y’all take care and have a great day!

O.K. you got me thinking. Cut out some card stock in the shape of a Clubman bottle. Hole punch a hole in the top. Soak the card stock on Clubman till the card stock in saturated. Let the cardstop drip dry. Catch the drippings and add the drippings back to your Clubman bottle. You do not want to waste that necture. Add a nice piece of ribbon to the pre-punched hole in the card stock and hang from your rear view mirror. Guys we got this!

Stirling is one of those soaps you see now and then, if you look hard enough. One of these days they'll be a big thing. ;)

Man, I hope Doc Ezlovan doesn't see those posts!!! Neal and Charlie might send in for a Stoylin in the future, but a note could quickly come back saying, "We JUST ran out of that one! :))

Charlie, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will look into expediting your application to become a Mod. I'm sure you could lighten the workload for the rest of us. ;)

@PLAla , the last time I was in Chicago was a fun time. I was visiting my now deceased friend-but the main reason I was there was to "represent" my Dad at Northwestern for his 50th class reunion. (He was in the beginning throes of Alzheimers at the time). Besides the NU visit, I remember going to a theater called Remains, where my cousin was a play director there. He got us free tickets for his play, and bought us drinks afterwards. Also my friend and I saw a White Sox game at the then new stadium. Right closeby, the demolition of the old Comiskey Park was happening. I can't explain why, but I got very emotional seeing that. Maybe this marked the beginning of my "old-school" ways.

You have "warp" being a noun and verb in the same sentence. And I'm no English professor. But to be serious, "making it through" my Stoylin Barbershop will probably take longer than I'd like.

    Thank you fellow 30DC Men!

Patrick - it a one of a kind that's been around the world. The Cypress came from a tree 10 miles north of here out of my fathers citrus orchard.I sent a hunk to Jack @Sparrow in Osaka Japan. Wasn't expecting he'd send any back in it's finished form! Anyone who chose the cypress option for their 30 DC LE brush has a piece of the same cutting.

John - it does fit the hand well. Fingers on the outside of the curve & thumb in the notched inner curve. The truncated cashew shape stands up with the knot canted sideways.

Jim - Thank you! I took three photos. This was the first when the phone chose to autoflash. I'm still trying to get it to autofocus.

Bruce - I've still got another chunk of that wood I didn't send to others to do handle magic. This remaining piece is a burl - where a branch grew out of the limb. It's too tough to whittle & too small to work with a 9" Skillsaw. I'm watching & shopping for the right lathe to turn my own. That odd shaped burl just might make another asymmetric...
