I have really thought about insulin instead of useing meds .. I do not think I want to force the issue till I have to though... not sure..

You ever use meds to control it?

AHH ok I am Type 2 here.... a lot of diabetics say it is best to get on the insulin, I never see low numbers these days... a lot of 140 range is normal

Shep, if you haven't tried the yellows please send me your address. You MUST try them. They put every other blade I have tried to shame. 3-4 shaves max out of anything else I tried, 2 out of a derby, I get about 8 out of a yellow, and every one is more comfortable than the first with almost anything else. Stellar blades. Seriously, PM your address.

I almost passed out when I had my drug test for life insurance. The "traveling nurse" (aka nurse who got fired from her real job apparently) stabbed my arm, apparently missed the vein, and rather than take the needle out and try again, she twisted the needle around inside my arm 180 degrees trying to get it in the vein, then back, then pulled it out, and did the same thing in the other arm. She told me I have "rolly veins" Funny that I have not had that problem with any of the other phlebotomists and nurses I have visited...

I am a huge advocate of the Polynesian red. I have the soap, aftershave, and the cologne is on the way. The stuff smells great, and my wife loves it. The stuff works magic.


I love bourbon. New season of "Burn Notice" started tonight. My brother and I watched it and sampled some bourbons from each of our collections. Another fine evening. Now one handed pecking while my son sleeps in my other arm. Life is made for moments like these.

Morning all! No shaving day Actually getting in the 50's today so finally can get some yardwork done! Dont think I made it out of the house yesterday! Should be getting a bunch of shaving goodies in the mail today though! Woo hoo! I am really pissed at the Bay.....2nd time this month I have had a non payment for an item over $150. I have to wait a week.....then file a claim......wait another week.....and then they finally credit me. I go 5 years with smooth payments and now! I dont care about the cheap stuff but I need the $$$. Will be around quite a bit today maybe get a review in

actually it was paid for early this morning so I take it back! Well there was still that 1 from Dec. Sorry to hear about roughed up face. I wanted to try the straight buy decided the DE and Injectors were just fine. I tried and quickly gave up. I might give it a whirl again but dont have the patience with the entire process.

The whole deal is why I got into straights, I think. I want to go from the stones to the leather to the end. I'd like to think , even if they stop making DE blades and all the fancy soaps and creams, I could still get by with an Omega, a puck of VDH and a straight.
Of course, I haven't made it that far yet....but I'm getting there.

 

Good luck! Still havent tried VDH soap yet...I see it every day but just wont try it.....maybe b/c its cheap? I honestly dont need it but I would like to try it and PIF it. I need more soaps or creams like I need another hole in my head. I have attempting to stick with one for an entire week or even a month. I did use PreDeProvence for an entire week but only b/c I was on vacation and didnt have a choice. Issues....

Morning Jim! Sorry about the face, give it a break and then get back to it. I can't say from experience as I have maybe 8 straight shaves under my belt, but it is supposed to be amazing once you get it down.

Glad you got your money! I hate waiting on payment on a ebay sale.

I would like to think that even if they stop making DE blades and soaps and creams, I could get by on my current stockpile. :happy102

 

Morning Rodd! Lets pray to the USPS gods that the goods arrive today! I was kind of jumping the gun on the ebay purchase. He did wait 36 hours but of course I didnt state any rules of payment so I cant be mad. I hate when people post stipulations in their auction but it really weeds out alot of the rif raf. I am also scared when low feedbackers bid....even though I shouldnt. Rodd....the slim adjustable i had for sale......$23! and the C&E brush went for $20(to a member though) the ball end tech is the auction i ended early. didnt want to lose for $5. I will post it here and pray for a taker.
