I need to do some research on the Tuckaway set I got yesterday. The gold one has a funny looking head. The top of it is not solid, but instead actually has openings all the way through where the blades slots are.

 

You should definitely try VDH> Pick up a puck of Deluxe--it made me doubt every other soap in my possession.

Morning Rodd! Yeah, I'll keep at her. I've got to get my Tosuke honed up and give it a whirl...She's just waiting there, all dull and shiny!!!!

I am crossing my fingers for a package. Crazy how much prices fluctuate. I thought that the tech was one of your favorite shavers?

Sounds like a Gillette Goodwill head. It would be a mismatch, but still very cool. I know better than to ask for pictures, but let me know if it looks like the one in the link. Do both of your Tuckaways have the greek key pattern on the case as seen here? If you got one of the others I want to buy it from you badly.

Indeed, the gold one does appear to be a mismatch. It is a gold Goodwill head on a Tuckaway handle, in a gold Tuckaway case. Of course, I also may have some rare and nuknown variation of the Tuckaway, but chances are that you are correct. And yes, both the silver and the gold cases are identical to the one you linked to. What is so special about them? The also both have the matching blades holders too.

 

Fat handled tech. The ball end has got the weight but a bit too thin for my hands. The fat handle is perfect. I still like the ball end but really rather pass it on. I also dont need cases....i have few I might get rid of soon.

Also going to hold onto the injector....these didnt do so well even though they do look a bit rough.

Its the exact one I have to. I paid $34 for mine back when they were very scarce....so I will hold onto it. If the handle was heavier I might like it more but just seems too light for me. I currently have about 50 injector blades so I guess it will be with me for a while. The TP's are really getting better after a couple of shaves.

 

Morning all. The nice weather is gone and we are back in the teens today. I really need my Connaught order to come in so I can get back to using the cream. I used some other creams the last couple of days and it just ins't holding anything over the connaught. My face feels so much better after using Connaughts creams.

Rodd did you place an order for the cream?

Mornin'. Didn't get squat for sleep last night again. Jackie tosses and turns, and kicks and punches all night long. Drives me nuts. She doesn't want to sleep w/ anybody but me though. Had to put my foot down and put her in a separate bed last night. Got about 3 hours sleep. Blaaaaaahhhhh...

Rodd, I've tried 7'O yellows and greens from Bong (where has he been???). Didn't care for them. Got one good shave and both went to hell after that. Of course I wasn't stropping at that time so maybe I should try one again. Anyhow I've got some so thanks for the offer.

You should take a trip over my way one weekend, we have many, many antique stores around. Of course, I have all of the phone numbers to the good ones, and call every few days to find out if they have any new shaving stuff. A handful of them will also call me when ever something I might be interested in comes through. Then again, I have too many damn razors anyway. Maybe we should schedule a little Saturday razor hunt. That would be a blast.

 

Tracy, Look through those old playboys for a particular issue. On the cover it will have the playboy bunny made up of a bunch of naked chicks. Somewhere on that one it will mention that the issue contains an iron on t-shirt sticker. See if the magazine still has it in there. Actually, there are two iron on prints in that issue. Let me know.......

Shep, did you use the ASP's yet? Something you may consider with them, as I find it really works well with them. Run the edge along a piece of styrofoam first (essentially like corking). It will really go a long way with smoother out the factory microburrs, and then stop it to realign the edge. You will get some of the best shaves you can imagine!!

Cool, should be great shavers. I love Tuckaways. The greek key sets are the common ones, all of mine are that style. I have been looking for different ones, finally won one on ebay and the guy said he "lost" it. So, still looking.

Shawn, those injectors can still fetch a good price. I am surprised that pair went so cheap.

 

I am hoping they come in today. If so the samples will be made up this weekend.

I don't remember seeing an issue like that but I will check again.

 

By ASP's do you mean the Astras??? If so, no. I have a fresh one in the slant ready for tomorrows shave.

Only thing we have around here is pawn shops which I don't hit very often.
