I'm finding that I agree with you. The 7 o'Clock Permasharp seems a whole level sharper. That said, the Indian Wilkie is a decent enough blade, but more average.

Thank you Jason. I like the grip and the balance of the razor better with the Triad. However that could be me being more familiar with the Triad. In the past I bought only razor heads when available and used one of 4 aftermarket handles with each razor head. If the razor came with a handle I generally changed in out for one of the others. Overtime I got used to a certain feel for the balance and it just feels more comfortable.

 

Don't insult the urinal cake. They at least make the bathroom smell better. The same can't be said for Clubman.

The final day of the 30DF and what a nice finish. A great 3x3 shave, close and smooth, just like it should be.

The day I started this in the back of my mind I thought "don't think this is going to go very well".
Boy was I wrong, big time wrong! I see now, the guys that only had one razor to use, always could get a great shave. Using the same tool every day, makes you an expert user. I know, I know, I was using a tough razor and blade combonation, but I realy don't think that makes much difference. If you want to use a particular razor that's giving you trouble, do a 30DF with It.
The razor I almost sold, to one that might become my favorite razor.

Tuesday evening December 18 - the Last Razor

Today I used the last of my previously untried TTOs - a 1960 SuperSpeed in excellent condition. The shave felt much the same as all the other SuperSpeeds I have tried. Two passes to a DFS. Face was BBS but as usual a couple of trouble spots just under my jaw let down the team and prevented declaration of an overall BBS. Florida Water for the finish because it was sitting there and hadn't been used in awhile. (Also because my bathroom is unaccountably lacking either the Veg or Clubman... .)

I have now used all of my vintage razors except for a handful of Techs and the old wedge blade razors that I consider off limits for reasonable shaving. I expect I will move on to the Techs next just to complete the job.

 

D*m the handle! Just grab a blade and push on!!

To the ones that don't like Pinaud I know you will at least like this little W3. It came in today and cleaned up very nice.

 

The forum is like the place I work at. You better leave your feelings in the truck when you come in the door but seriously I can take it and dish it out as well. So let the fun begin.
