It would have a classic scent exhaust, that's for sure. By the way - anyone know a quick way to sharpen propeller blades? Asking for a friend.

December Focus

Vintage AoS Lavender~~Simpson CH2 SiLVERTiP~~1908 Gillette Old Type~~Personna 74
I might stick with my vintage AoS products for the rest of this month. They are very satisfying and occasionally get lost in the crowd.
Up today was lavender. It is labeled as "for sensitive skin", but any skin-type would benefit from this.
Let's discuss, first, the lavender scent. It ranges from medium potent (PSO/ASG) to mild (ASB) to very subtile (Soap).
Some shavers prefer an "in your face" (literally and figuratively) scent. Not I.
IMO, it's the post-shave product that needs to pack a wallop.
No "wallops" today with this line-up.
I face-lathered the AoS soap, after blooming of course, and it developed into a lovely, wet, shiny lather.
The CH2 was soft and not shy about some backbone, delivering the product with aplomb.
Now to the '08 Gillette. Really nice razor that will give you a great shave. Just be sure to check the blade
alignment before you begin.
First pass was very smooth, one might say: uneventful.
Oooops...I forgot to use the PSO, which I only use when the AoS lavender set is chosen.
So, I rinsed and patted dry; applied the PSO, re-lathered and performed the XTG pass.
No discernible difference. Mos def not a re-purchase. IMO, useless.
Final pass, got a little greedy on the neck and paid the piper. Weeper.
Thayer's applied, then the ASG, which I let dry slightly before finishing with the ASB.
The combination of the Gel and Balm really leave the skin feeling good and looking good. ​

 

Used Jayaruh 203 today for Williams Wednesday!!!
Busted out a great lather, and it stayed together as always .I don't try for butter cream lather with Williams, instead I go for a smooth cushion. The razor is a 1973 Tech, and the blade is a Persona blue. I got 9 shaves out of it!!!
