    I had a great shave today! Blackbird OC erased my stubble with two passes +cleanup. SDM, close to the end, and Elite Razor Turquoise combined to produce a mess o' lather. SDM one of the best soaps on the market. Finished with Fine Lavender and Brooks Brothers Classic and I'm ready for the day. Revitalized, refreshed and very smooth. Have a great day friends!

    AS: Fine Santal Absolut

    Good morning!

    Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes to BBS result.

    Grooming Dept tallow this morning. Another exceptional performer. I'm curious about the GD vegan base now. The scent of the Sandalwood Fig Musk is dominated by the sweetness of the fig. I quite like it. Those of you that have sniffed PAA WILL-O'-THE-WISP will have an idea what this soap smells like. They're not identical but the sweet aspect of the scent is the same, at least to my nose.
    I feel good and I smell good. This is my Friday, just gotta get through today and I'm off till Wednesday.

    Day 4: The ennui around camp has lifted and this morning I was able to enjoy a most remarkable shave from a vintage American razor (New SC), Korean blade manufactured in Vietnam (Dorco Prime Platinum), Chinese synthetic brush, and Turkish soap (Arko).

    Last night's resupply run was successful but not without complications. It turns out that the German trading post is not yet completed. Instead, I braved a trip to a bizarre (sic) frequented by many of the locals, one run by the heirs of Trade Prince Walton. Fortunately, I was spared the sight of the most extreme specimens who often frequent such markets save one woman whose visage, when deep in thought, marked her as surely being of the lineage of the famous navigator, Popeye The Sailor. She lacked only a cap and corn cob pipe to cement this resemblance.

    I have come to realize that the true enemy on this expedition is not the ennui; it is the chairs. Each seems to inflict its own torture on my frame. Mercifully, I shall return home at the end of the next day's events.

    Those old razors have charature..........kinda like an old broke in pair of boots or blue jeans. They just feel right.

    I guess I'm learning what "thirsty" shave soap is. The Chiseled Face looks VERY USED after I shaved with it this morning, but it will probably go back to resemble a pancake tonight,. What dries it up so much and so fast? Same with WSP soaps.
