    Decadent December!!

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - ladas-super-stainless.jpg (1)
Soap - Oleo Soapworks El Caballero
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

It's been a long and busy day and I have a lot of catching up to do. But.....I did see earlier where @Primotenore had encountered a bad review on the Fatip, then shaved with a Fatip to prove them wrong. Well, I'm standing in solidarity with the Primo Man and holding my Fatip up loud and proud and letting everyone know - it's an AWESOME razor. Bad build quality?! Never. Bad shave? ! Never. It will cut you and bite you?! Well, ok, yeah if you don't give it some respect but let's be honest - the R41 does that. The OT Gillette's will do that. Refuse to respect a pain stick and you may leave the room minus an ear. The Fatip is a great razor that works every time when you apply the right technique. Don't like the finish on it? Tough. It is what it is. And I think it's a sharp razor. Ok, rant over.

Three passes on the El Caballero with the JR54 and the baby is in the house, alum is quiet and my day is done! I can now say that I have attended a ballet and.....I enjoyed myself. As an old musician who played piano from a young age, sang in choirs and a soloist for years back in the day and even got to play with the KC Philharmonic as a college student, the ballet was a bit confusing at first. Great music, of course, but nobody was singing!! What the.....when does the singing......oh......right.....dancing.

My wife thoroughly enjoyed herself and we had a great evening. Might have to try that again sometime.

Friday beckons! And Christmas is literally around the corner!

I haven't confirmed it yet, but my research suggest Dirty English by Juicy Couture may be very close to BoS. I'm hoping so 'cause that's what I asked Santa for Christmas.

Those aluminum handles hold heat when warmed up, have a nice heft to them, and if that's a Tuxedo type synth knot you'll be lathering in Retro Future High Style! They look like could have been a control handle from a Buck Rodgers era space ship. Hope you enjoy the WTP soaps, too. For the low price the lime hits all the right buttons.

Thanks for waving your Piccolo around Neal! I was thinking about closing out the month with a Gillette NEW LC, but I just might do the Fatip. :eatdrink047:

Here's the trick. If you have Razor AD - RAD.........start looking at brushes. Soon, you'll have BAD. Ok, admit the problem and start looking at soaps. SAD is easily caught. Once you fill up your empty closets and drawers with soaps, check out some new razors. RAD to the rescue. Just keep repeating the cycle. As long as it's a different AD than you had last month you're fine. Trust us. We know what we're doing.

I have a few pocket knives. I usually carry a Spyderco on work days and a GEC on weekends. Pocket knives are another rabbit hole.

Those Razorock 400s are great looking brushes. Especially at the price point too. I have seen a number of members with them and they seem to get excellent reviews. In fact, if I hadn't been PIFed a prototype Vlasta T400 aluminum Rubberset 400 version, I would have gotten the Razorock one myself...

    Good morning!

I'm happy to report that my weekend has started! The parts we were waiting on arrived a day early and with a productive afternoon that piece of equipment is ready to return to service.

Great shave this morning! Three passes to BBS. I feel I have the Sabre dialed in. The Supply Co will come out for tomorrow's shave.

    Have a great day, gentlemen!

Up and moving very early this morning. Beat the morning commute and been at work for a while. The hardware and software worked well together. The big Shavemac tore through the soap whipping up a mountain of rich slick lather. I love this brush with its tremendous backbone and scrub. The D01 knots are an acquired taste. If you’re looking for soft pampering this is not the brush for you. Three passes and touch ups ended with the baby in the house. A splash of CC Bay Rum was the exclamation point on an epic shave. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
