Thank you John. I am looking forward to using both brushes. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
What did you think of #325?? I've been debating on getting one of those timberwolf knots... I wonder if it is a Maggard knot? I'm eager to hear your review. Thanks. Josh Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
Yes it is. I used it Friday morning and found it to be softer than my Stirling Tuxedo yet it still had plenty of backbone for face lathering. Saturday morning I'm going to lather up with the JR39 and see how it compares. I like the look's of both brushes. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
thats cool, i have that knot in a vintage eveready handle.i like it very much..will have to try against the ap shave co tuxedo..
I believe that Jim get's most of his knots from Maggards. The Timberwolf is softer than my Stirling Tuxedo yet it still retains good backbone for face lathering. I can see this brush getting used a lot. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
That's awesome. I may have to get one for my new T-400 aluminum brush. I have two extra ferrules... I was thinking of using AP shave company knots because I love them, but 1 in the timberwolf would be a good change based on your review . Thank you. Josh Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk

Welcome @TADIII to JROC. He commissioned handles: 333, 334. They were from hybrid wood/alumilite. He will be adding the knots. Pictures are of the handles with different knots.
Neither Jim's pictures, nor mine, do them justice. The blank was made by David Gordon of DJGWoodArtistry and beautifully crafted into two handles by Jim. He has a more thorough explanation of the process here: https://jrshaving.blogspot.com/2018/12/jayaruh-333-and-334.html He labored through a couple of serious injuries, and bitter weather with the router just outside in the shed, close but oh so far. I am honored to have these works of art and honored to have had them crafted in spite of adversity. Please pardon my poor pictures -
