  4. Naturally, I had to look it up. Very nice. That will sell out quickly, unless he gets a big inventory built up prior to release.

  5. I’m going to go out on a limb here, but if a man ended up divorced from collecting razors I’m pretty sure he didn’t end his collecting days. And the rabbit hole of ad’s continues. And as far as the :sick013: go we won’t know if the collecting ends until we get there, who knows it could be streets lined with antique shops.
  6. I just did the rare evening shave before going out to dinner with my lovely wife. I thought I would finish off this soap, but looks like I’ll get one more shave out of it. I do like this razor a lot!

  12. Skin stretch harder, maybe?

Also, wetter, more dense lather than I use with DE. You can away with a lot of margin with DE when it comes to lather. Lather matters more with open blades.

It’s not too often that I shave two nights in a row but the craftsman delivered a near perfect bbs tonight, the only reason that I say near perfect is because of some irritation on my neck. Most likely from shing two days in a row. But the craftsman was next in line for a refresh on the edge. Note to self “be patient on the test shave”.

  18. Decadent December!!

    December 21, 2018 Blessed Yule!

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Stirling Sheep
    Brush - The Canuck
    Post - Alum

First of all, Blessed Yule! It's the longest night of the year as we officially "start" winter. However, the way I look at things, winter starts when Autumn arrives and ends at Spring - so - we're halfway through winter baby! How's that for dealing with the long cold season, eh? Second thing - yesterday was actually a special day for me around here. My 4th anniversary of joining the Shave Den. I arrived on December 20, 2014 with a couple of razors, a brush, some Proraso, and no idea what I was doing. It's been a good four years.

As for tonight's setup - staying with the Fatip and Ladas blade. The Canuck turned the Stirling Sheep into a virtual ice rink, only one that would cushion your butt if you fell down on it. Slick and cushy! Great feel to the shave and the after-feel with the Sheep is absolutely amazing. I say that every time but it still really does amaze me. My minimalist dreams have me using the Sheep as my one and only soap - or in rotation with MWF. Of course, that's a dream and not reality as we know it. Far too many soaps around to get down to just one or two now!

Hope you had a great day. Saturday and the weekend awaits. I'm sure some of you have a long weekend ahead with the holiday. Some of us will work through Monday before getting the holiday off. Whatever your situation, I hope you enjoy this season with your family and friends!

  20. And every shop has not only an unlimited supply of Toggles, but also the bottom dial Fatboy. And every straight razor holds its edge for eternity. No stropping or honing required.
