Prep: splash of water
Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: GSB
Brush: Maggard Blue & White Synthetic
Soap: Victory Shaving- Champaign Lady
Post: Floid Black A/S

Very refreshing shave this afternoon. Victory Shaving is a highly underrated artisan IMO. They are one of a few artisans to master the Olive Oil dissapearing lather problem, plus the soap is Soy Wax based which is a bit unusual (though there are others) but despite the questionable looking ingredients, the lather is as stable as any top tier artisan. Soap is pretty darn firm and tin filled to the brim. Am looking forward to see what they come up with next.

As for the shave itself, managed a DFS with no nicks or cuts. though not quite BBS, still a very enjoyable shave. Finished off with Floid Black, this stuff has excellent longevity and can still detect it 5 hours later. Hope everyone had a great shave!

First of all, Blessed Yule! It's the longest night of the year as we officially "start" winter. However, the way I look at things, winter starts when Autumn arrives and ends at Spring - so - we're halfway through winter baby! How's that for dealing with the long cold season, eh? Second thing - yesterday was actually a special day for me around here. My 4th anniversary of joining the Shave Den. I arrived on December 20, 2014 with a couple of razors, a brush, some Proraso, and no idea what I was doing. It's been a good four years.

As for tonight's setup - staying with the Fatip and Ladas blade. The Canuck turned the Stirling Sheep into a virtual ice rink, only one that would cushion your butt if you fell down on it. Slick and cushy! Great feel to the shave and the after-feel with the Sheep is absolutely amazing. I say that every time but it still really does amaze me. My minimalist dreams have me using the Sheep as my one and only soap - or in rotation with MWF. Of course, that's a dream and not reality as we know it. Far too many soaps around to get down to just one or two now!

First use of the Weishi2.0 Adjustable...and I was pleasantly surprised. In use...it reminds me of the Parker Variant. DFS+ after 2 passes and BBS in 3. Its early days yet......but so far I like it.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The L'Occitane Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 brush. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Last of the sleigh themed shaves before Christmas. BTW, I made that little tin sleigh on the right in 7th grade metal shop a mere 56 years ago..sheesh! The solder joints are still good! I remember painting it and spraying some kind of fake snow on it. My mother would display it every Christmas and now that she's back with her maker, the sleigh is back with its maker.
