    Thanks Paul @Paul76!

The older two (not identical twin girls aged 7) understand about mess making. I've incentivized their tablet &WIFI time by giving or taking away depending on how much I have to clean up after them. The 3 year old little brother just doesn't get it. I had just finished scraping stuck candy from the hardwood floor, swept & mopped, and sat down to rest my pawpaw bones. He comes in with a freshly peeled satsuma. I taught him how to peel his own and encourage independent action. And thought twice. Sure enough there was scattered around on the just cleaned floor was tiny his fingered jibbles of citrus peel. Sigh. I joke with his older sisters about little brother being a NPC, a gaming term for a Non Player Character. He doesn't think, instead he moves about his assigned area committing acts of random three year oldism.

Andrew, I can't get the silly app to work on my phone.

I want to stay on the cutting edge, if you know what I mean. Gotta keep my skills sharp! :lyrtuy5:

Seriously (and I know that's frowned upon here), I don't use Tapatalk. I just use Chrome on my phone to access TSD, and it seems to work fine.

Fellas, I just got an e-mail from West Coast Shaving titled The Wet Shaving Debate. And a debate it was, as the very first argument was "Stay FAR away from canned shaving cream" but it goes on to give some benefits of what they just argued against. Then you read the benefits of shave soaps, plus the idea that this is "the new wave" of shaving(my quotes)although it was also done long ago. Issues like cushion, slickness, scent helped the shave soap argument, but again there appeared to be a contradiction, when you read that canned creams can also be fine for cushion and protection.. They point out that there are more damaging chemicals in canned creams. I came away from reading this by concluding that I do sense a softer facial feel with soaps, along with the better scent variety, but famous canned creams like Barbasol and Rise aren't THAT bad to use. It ended by saying "it's up to you, the shaver", but that conclusion is a little weird when it begins by saying "stay FAR AWAY from canned creams".

There's a guy at my gym who looks very much like Don Adams. Wonder if they are related.

Here's a way to find out, and please keep us posted. Stand out of sight and call him. If he answers with a necktie, comb, watch, clock, shoe, makeup compact, fingernail, revolver, wallet, handkerchief, eyeglasses, garden hose, car cigarette lighter, bottle of perfume, car steering wheel, bed headboard, cheese sandwich, test tube, Bunsen burner, or house plant...there could be a possible relation.

What DOES a Bunsen burner do....burn those Bunsens? But seriously, yes, maybe Don passed all those skills down to the workout man!! To me, the facial expression gets me going. Oh another thing.....his girlfriend is quite pretty, as is/was Barbara Feldon-"Agent 99".

Paul, Get Smart was a terrific TV show with some fun characters and clever story lines. I miss TV as it used to be, with the simple and classic comedy or just plain old good story lines. TV story lines and characters today are often too heavy and complicated for my tastes.

You might want to try streaming on Pluto TV. Lots of older shows and free.

An eBay seller included two tucks of Lord Super Stainless DE blades as a bonus on a recent order. I've never tried an Egyptian DE blade before, so I loaded one in the R41 for tomorrow's shave.

Any thoughts or impressions from the blade gurus here on these blades?

Gillette English Tech / vintage Wilkinson Sword (6?)
    Simpsons CH2 Chubby Synthetic Bristles
    Fendrihan Lavender Sandalwood soap sample
Alum and TSD Sandalwood Milk Aftershave

This Tech was made in England. No date code. Solid nickel plating in good condition. Gillette logo frost etched on the topcap. Year?

Not much to say about the shave. From a two day stubble back to cleanshaven again in two easy passes. No fuss and nothing from the alum. The Techs all just plain worked. They weren't fancy razors. There are a few gold plated versions around, but by and large they weren't razors you would have given someone as a presentation gift. All of the models I have tried though did the job easily and efficiently. Today's was no exception.

Have been cray busy working on stuff around the house to get ready for things finishing up on the remodel. There is a end in site. We need trim, air conditioners and a fire place, and we are pretty much done. I got a wild hair last weekend to repaint the old part of the house and replace the popcorn ceilings before the floors went in. I finished painting at 430 this morning, and the floors were done by noon. Picture is Laurel, my oldest, at the Christmas pageant last week. Life is good.
