I believe that Jim get's most of his knots from Maggards. The Timberwolf is softer than my Stirling Tuxedo yet it still retains good backbone for face lathering. I can see this brush getting used a lot. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
That's awesome. I may have to get one for my new T-400 aluminum brush. I have two extra ferrules... I was thinking of using AP shave company knots because I love them, but 1 in the timberwolf would be a good change based on your review . Thank you. Josh Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk

Welcome @TADIII to JROC. He commissioned handles: 333, 334. They were from hybrid wood/alumilite. He will be adding the knots. Pictures are of the handles with different knots.
Neither Jim's pictures, nor mine, do them justice. The blank was made by David Gordon of DJGWoodArtistry and beautifully crafted into two handles by Jim. He has a more thorough explanation of the process here: https://jrshaving.blogspot.com/2018/12/jayaruh-333-and-334.html He labored through a couple of serious injuries, and bitter weather with the router just outside in the shed, close but oh so far. I am honored to have these works of art and honored to have had them crafted in spite of adversity. Please pardon my poor pictures -
Looks excellent! Especially #334! Great choice of synthetic knot! Big fan. Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
My Jayaruh #314 arrived in the mail today! I now have a brush to use on Pi Day... The Cocobolo wood feels like steel and the grains are outstanding. Jim, you have displayed some phenomenal craftsmanship on this one! I am proud to be a member of JROC. Thank you.
Veddy nice. Great choices for knots. I was reluctant to give up the pi brush, but I know you will appreciate it.
Finally, I can announce @Mr Two Bits is the latest member of JROC. He commissioned #335: ebony with Tuxedo synthetic knot.
What’d I tell ya??? What’d I TELL YA!?!?! It’s beautiful! I can’t wait to get my hands on that thing!
