Hello fellow wetshavers Do Any of you know figaro Aftershave classic. Its a cheap drugstore Aftershave. And if anyone know it. Whats your opinion of it?? Thanks a lot.....
There is an Hungarian shave cream and after shave named Figaro. Not sure if it's what you are referring to, see link below. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/figaro-shaving-cream-review.27446/
Even though I already have 9 aftershaves in my stash, I am on the hunt for a few more, based on what I have been reading. I just ordered Barbon and the Hungarian Figaro, but I am still looking for Derbylux and I can't find it anywhere, so far. Does anyone know where I can find it? BTW, when I orderd the Figaro, I also ordered their Shave Cream as well.
Does it still exist? The manufacturer's web site doesn't show it. https://caola.hu/termekkategoria/ferfiaknak/ The Figaro "Not Shabby" is an interesting name for a cream.
That's a good question, because I have no idea. I've seen it mentioned several times, in various threads here. Thanks for the link, that's interesting.
The Barbon is nice ,kind of Skin Bracer with eucalyptus. The Barbon cream is very good with a rep for sealing nicks. The Figaro I did not care for .It actually gave me a head ache and made me fell queasy. It was kind of a strong medicinal witch hazelly smell. It sits in the back of the cabinet forlorn and gathering dust.
Dam, I hope I don't have the same experience with the Figaro. Now I'm thinking that I should order up a Barbon Shave Cream.
I just received my first bottle of Figaro last week, from Hungary. It is also made by Caola, as is the Barbon Aftershave. I have been sniffing at the Figaro, the last few days and I am on the fence with it. For me, I believe I am picking up some Vanilla, a touch of Pine and very wet Soggy Wood. That's the best description I can come up with right now. It is unique, but I'm not sure that I like it. I really love the Barbon!
