Thanks. I’ll give that a try. May be why the first attempt to cycle a blade worked. Were the blade trays sold separately? Or did the owner always have to use the same one and just refill the blades in the same tray (cartridge)?
Originally you got a magazine loaded with 20 blades. So you changed magazines everytime. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Thanks for the clarification. After freeing mine from being jammed a second time, I actually damaged the magazine so I am on the search for a replacement or a 2nd Repeating Razor (I believe I saw that the magazines are interchangeable with all models A-C).
You can find the cylinder shaped repeater blade packs on ebay very often. Those packs come with a new magazine! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Thanks. It looks different from the one I have. Is it compatible with a Type C? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks. The brass tray looks like mine too. I guess the metal surrounding it in the picture confused me.
That metal around it, is there to help you load the magazine into the razor...a user friendly way, removing the risk of having to be super careful. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Just discovered the Schick Repeaters, I'm itching to buy one now. How do the different models compare, are there any that stand out? And what should I expect price-wise? Thanks!
Check it out...kick back in a comfy chair...With a nice beverage...You've got over 1500 posts right here on the subject...There is some great stuff ...Enjoy and welcome to the Schick Repeater Scene...The good Col. did invent a better mouse-trap. I think he got it right, right from the start... All models give great shaves and have their own personalities aswell as fortes. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I haven’t quite dialed in this razor yet and it was a bit rough on my neck. Still happy I am using such a great piece of engineering history. Pre: Proraso Red Brush: Wild West Brushworks, Renaissance Lather: Crown & Crane Tobacco Leaf & Amber Razor: Schick Repeating Razor Type C1 Blade: Personna PTFE Injector Post: Speick After Shave Lotion & Aqua Velva Sensitive 5 in 1 Balm Music today provided by: Duke Ellington & John Coltrane
Love your taste in razors and music! Yo Droo, have you checked out this repeater instruction booklet...It's for the B type but that business on the angle is the same...These guys like that 90% angle...for some a little counter intuitive..But with a little familierarity it feels natural.. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk AND how does your C like raking one blade at a time through it's system?
Music just makes the shave even more peaceful and relaxing! I tried the 90 degree today, but I think the angle was off once I got down to the neck. As for my C, it was jammed when I bought it. I was unable to unjam it and it cycled properly until I put modern blades in the magazine. It jammed again at that point and I damaged the magazine tray getting it unjammed. Now I just load the blade by hand.
Do you know how to disassemble the C? When you take those 2 screws out and bend out those 2 flaps...It sounds scary...but if you look careful when you take it apart...Its easy...not many parts... So once you get the magazine together...you can use how you like. If it ever jams its so simple to fix...Thats why they called it the Schick SIMPLIFIED automatic...};^)) What a genius design! That album you were listening to...Trane and the Duke...theres no shortage of genius there either...}8^)) Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
