Thanks! It is time to shave with the old 'Empire' razor again. Maybe the Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless will do better than time than the first time I tested it.

 

That is one cool looking razor Steve! The lubrication strips on a DE is unique and a cool idea.

 

Dang Tim thats some Beautiful Antique gear! Very ornate and interesting looking brush.

 

The brush is awesome. Every part of this set was obsessed over for months before it was all assembled.

Thanks Chris. The Raw RS-18 provides a great shave. I have really been enjoying it. I haven't tried it without the strips to feel the difference, but I have been enjoying the design as intended, so even though I'm curious, I have resisted the temptation. I am curious about the difference to see the impact they provide, but all I can say is that they really seem to work and provide a wonderfully smooth shave. Happy holidays my friend.

Thanks Brad. BTW I should get that package out tomorrow. Sorry for being behind. I won't blab more about the Raw RS-18 but it really is a great razor and the strips seem to work extremely well. It really pleasantly surprised me. Continue to enjoy the holidays my friend.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 brush. I did two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
