Thanks! Got a great shave from the ABC antique this time around, which is pretty rare. It is known to give me major burn and weepers. It's the most difficult razor in my small collection to shave with.

    SUNDAY'S SHAVE

Razor - Gillette Red Tip Superspeed circa 1955-1960 (Re-plated in Satin-Nickel Finish and re-painted tip in Radiant Red color by Razor Emporium.)
    Blade - [IMG] *3rd shave
Shave Brush - Ever-Ready 1960's vintage (Polished and re-knotted with a 26mm Ubersoft II knot from Envyshave by Razor Emporium.)
Shave Stand by by Desire Metal Works
Suds - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Original" Cream (Made in India) *I dried it out for months into a hard soap.
Aftershave - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"
Post-Shave Balm - Advanced Clinicals Anti-aging Hyaluronic Acid Cream
Deodorant - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"
Fragrance - Proctor & Gamble Old Spice "Classic"

Going back to the cheap, supermarket shave for my Old Spice Sunday shave. I'm mulling over the idea of using the pre-shave oil, but I likely won't.

***EDIT - No preshave oil. 2-pass + 1 targeted clean up and BBS. Got a very brief weeper on my neck. Excellent results. No real irritation.

    Decadent December!!

    December 29, 2018

    Razor - 1947 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Iced Pineapple
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Another night with the Aristocrat and Voskhod. If that isn't enough decadence, how about throwing in a Jayaruh brush with Stirling Iced Pineapple? Enough? Yeah, I agree. I'm nearly out of the sample on this soap but it's ok. I have a full tub sitting on the shelf waiting to go. The JR54 was perfect in its lather production tonight. Definitely the usual slick and protective lather Stirling provides every time. And three passes of smooth Voskhod goodness brought the baby without any extra effort. After a rather maddening day at work I needed that zen time.

Have a great Sunday! Two more days in Decadent December and in 2018!! Looking forward to a new year!!

Little more mail call with my first HERC Soap, while not a traditional barbershop soap, elements of it remind me of them, in feel like this is what they should smell like.

A lovely shave for the last Sunday of the Year. The No 10 performed well and the shave was mild.....but very efficient. 3 Passes for a BBS finish:)

Unfortunately the New Year celebrations can not kick in for me just yet. The ongoing 'flu/cold sickness has claimed yet another victim at work and I have been 'parachuted' in to cover tonight....despite being unwell myself. For those who can.....enjoy the rest of your weekend!
