cheaper than $5? with shipping? I doubt that....you weren't thinking the $18 one, were you?

I may pick it up anyway... for $5 I can try my first razor repair!

If you need a little heat on that all you gotta do is buy the plane ticket and feed the bunny :D

uh...ripping someone's head off wouldn't bode well for any future background checks...

    just sayin'...

Good morning Shawn, and those are not the type of surprises I like to wake up to!

Ahh yes was thinking it was the more expensive.. way to early here:D

I wish i had a picture of how it is bent.. but I would bet it could be fixed. Those things are built like tanks.

    Yup.......

I think that slim would clean up just dandy!! Too bad there is not a good picture of the silo doors though. Judging from the rest of it though, I bet the doors are fine, just dirty as hell. I would go look at them and tell the seller that you are really only interested in the razors, but that they look really rough. Offer them $15 for both. If they still have them, $15 should get both razors.

    Good morning!

Yikes!? Sorry to hear that? Anything that could make it harder to get a job?

I was looking at the bucket of razors again, and I don't have one so I have no idea what they look like from this angle, but is this the head of a lather catcher?

So, Shawn. What are your thoughts on the Noxzema? Ahhhh......... On second thought, let us know after you use it with a good blade.

That looks like the bottom of a 1912. what I think might be a lather catcher is lower more to bottom right,

On second look that is very likely another lather catcher style that i missed.. again not at all sure.. but could be.

I was thinking $20 for the whole lot. I'd send the brush out to rodd for a new knot, maybe use the mug if it cleaned up well, or use it for a PIF...

Thanks, I couldn't tell from that angle having never seen one in person. I knew that there were multiple versions labeled "GEM Junior"

I could be wrong about both.. I am excited about seeing them in better pics. My lather catchers are my personal favorite razors.

I have received an offer to trade one of my Superiors (I have two)for a 1908 single ring cased with blade case. Very interesting offer. I think my Gem Jr. is the best of the lot though.

Even then, make sure to point out to the seller how "rough" the razors look. Offer them $15 for everything. You might want to even find out if they have any other shaving items. ANyway, make the $15 offer first. If they won't bite, pull a $20 bill out of your pocket and say that is all you have. That works 99% of the time. Hell, the Slim alone will resell for at least $25!!

A previous employer threw a monkey wrench in my background. Might have to get attorney involved b/c it seems malicious. I wont physically rip any heads off;) I can get 3 people fired though at a wink of an eye;) I can sling mud with the best of them. One thing at a time. GF just turned the Dallas job down also because she doesnt want to move to Dallas.

I just decided to break tradition. I am hitting the road today and seeing what I can find in the local antique shops. Then, I might come back and sell some stuff!!

I was thinking about going out to, back up to New Oxford (near Gettysburg). I found a lot of stuff at this one place that I'd like a second look at. But I think I'm going to take it easy today, give my nuts one more day to rest up....

Good luck! I have been considering taking a vacation day and driving to as many as I can reach in that time and see what shows up. I just wish there were more near by.

good luck with all of that. That sucks a lot.
