My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 brush. I did two passes with the C.V. Heljestrand Safety Razor with a C.V. Heljestrand wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Just like that this month is already over. Did we learn anything by this months shaves? I did, I learned that a cheap brush is almost as bad as cheap toilet paper!

I could use this combo all year and not miss a beat. Everything always seems to "click" with this set-up resulting in an effortless, 2 pass, minor touch-up BBS shave. Classic scents, outstanding performance, exquisite post shave feel. Just a wonderful way to start the day!

Coate’s Lavender Cream today. 20 seconds to load the Knotsinyourhead/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue still in the Gillette “Black Beauty”. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Bulgari Blu aftershave.

Today's shave was nice. I used some things that haven't been used in a minute, and was blessed with some great results.

I'm liking that soap stick container. Vintage?

 

Yeah, it's aluminum, so it's kinds thin.

 

Feather Super first go in the SE1, so I figured I'd stick with a beard only shave and do the head shave with the Short Comb. The SE1 was just fine so equipped, and proved more efficient than the SC as I used it to do some pick ups on my head the SC left behind. Although the Asylum handle is heavier than the Halo, I prefer it among the three handles I've tried thus far

 

Man, I already miss the Shave Den Shop that closed. The products were good.
