    Terry I have not shaved with that brand but I have shaved with these Wecks a few times. It has been a while. I seem to like the shorter DE half blades in the Dovo Shavette.

    That sounds a lot like a black guy I use to work with. He woke up one morning with his girlfriend sitting on top of him with a butcher knife in his face. She was crazy.

    Just another classic Stoylin soap shave this morning. I think a NY shave resolution for me will be to quit leaving whiskers on the right cheek so that I have to "save the shave" with the second pass. I'm a southpaw, perhaps that's the issue, here. Clubman Original for the win!!

    As 2018 comes to a close, I pause to remember the good fortune I have in my life.
    First and foremost is Mrs. Primo. A saint. (Especially to put up with me)
    My kids and the roof over my head.
    All the kind-hearted folks at TSD, my "home away from home".
    Today I chose the CF Lime. I have complained about the scent of this soap in the past.
    This is my second tub. I kid you not, I binned my first, along with a bottle of the ASB, so abhorrent was the scent.
    It reminded me of a cleaning solution, Lestoil.
    And while the lime scent is still not my favorite, I have come to really appreciate this product.
    It is a firmish cream. I don't load from the tub, but rather scoop and smear into my Aesop SS bowl.
    The soap truly is one of the slickest products I own.
    The Rooney Style 3 Medium is the only three-band badger in my den and who couldn't love this knot?:

    At one time, I owned a Simpson CH2 Somerset/Mayfair with a very similar knot, but it looked too much like
    the other CH2's in my den, so it got sold.
    Once again the 1947 Gillette was loaded with a thrice-used Polsilver SI.
    It would be a real toss-up if there were ever to be a shave apocalypse, whether I would choose this razor
    or my 1941 Ranger Tech. They both give identically smooth shaves, but the aesthetics of the RT would
    most likely tip the scales in its favor.
    The Old Spice Lime was a nice foil for the CF and it completed the shave with a flourish.    ​

    Terry, that Gillette Tech is actually a Gillette NEW, a Long Comb I believe. Predates the Tech by a decade or two. Nice looking example and it sounds like you got a good shave out of it.

    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: PAA Aqua D
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    AS: PAA Aqua D

    Another excellent shave to start the day. Three pass, BBS, quiet alum. Not much to report.
