Sunday morning shave

What a better way to start a relaxing Sunday after a busy Friday and Saturday of running around. The Stirling r4l lathered up really nice with my Jr 175 Stl boar brush. Like normal I lathered up and got to stropping. Relathered and got started, now at this point I’m focused on the task at hand and hadn’t even noticed my little Russian blue buddy Boris Smirnov snuck into the bathroom. He decided to jump up on the sink as soon as I was started my shave, he bumped my elbow in the process resulting in a small nick on my ear. I’m glad he wants to learn the art of straight razor shaving, but after this I’m starting to suspect he has alterior motives. But enough on my Russian cat conspiracy and back to the shaving lesson for Boris. After three passes I had a nice bbs shave this morning without any irritation or sting when applying the after shave. So overall it was a great success and learning lesson for both of us but mainly myself to learn to keep an eye on the little Russian we have in the house.

Yes I was trying to post my shave and it all went dark. First I thought the resistance may have just succeeded with their anti- cookie plans. But then quickly came to my senses and dismissed that idea.

 

Great pics, Paul. It's nice that you had company for your shave. I'm sure he's sorry about the knick.

It never ceases to amaze me how through a picture, and a bad picture at that, you can id these things.
It works great! The threads are loose, but I'll fix that later in the week. Whoever had this razor used it alot.
Must have been their main or only razor, I can feel why.

Boris has no problems in the comfy department whatsoever Patrick. But I have to keep an eye out for him, he’s a stealth predator. His favorite thing to do is hide then sneak up from behind and ambush my legs when I walk past, or anyone else for that matter. For some reason Boris believes he’s a stealth assassin.

The bullet tip is a gift from Chris@Bama Samurai. Labelled as a mild razor but as with my FW I can obtain BBS 2 pass shaves with either. I'm thinking both these razors get a bad rep ( eg:Clubman). But to each his own, I will enjoy this beauty and Thank you Chris!

Polsilver blades are new here in the @Terry den. I like them, not quite as sharp as I'm used to, but nice. I needed to spend some more time getting the closeness I like. Got 99 more to try out though.
