Hi ho boys. Missed yesterday. Packed everybody up and headed off to west Phoenix to spend the day w/ my wife's sister and her idiotic family. It was a joyous experience. I spent the day parked on the couch staring at the walls.

As a result the weekly chat got missed. I'll work on that later today. So whad up?

Hey Jim. Mine is an '08; the first year with the renewed engineering. It's a great car. I have the top model so it's a V6 hence slightly less gas mileage. I'm at around 21 city/32 highway or there abouts. For a mid size care I think it's very spacious but that's all relative to what you want to pack inside. Rear leg room seems to be ok for passengers. I'm 6'1" so I put my seat all the way back which cut's into leg room a bit. Steering wheel telescopes giving you even more driver side room if you want it. In the first year the only trouble I've had is the auto up function on the driver side window malfunctioned. Replaced under warranty w/ no problem. I'm very happy w/ this car and would buy another. It's totally different from the '07 and prior models. Getting very good reviews by Car & Driver etc.

    Dear Diary,

    Welcome to hell.

    Sincerely,

(disclaimer: it is a fine morning. I regret not getting up early enough to fry eggs and bacon and eat outside in the freezing brisk air on my porch. but I made up for it by cutting someone off in traffic on my way to work. ahh, life is good!)

    Ahhhhhhhh................

Great shave!! Freshly corked and stropped ASP in my trusty Slim (set on 5). Noxzema lathered up with a vintage Plisson HMW. A healthy splash of SKin Bracer "Cool Spice", followed with a dollop of a my sons new Spicy Ice ASB. Smoothness of a divine degree!!

    Smoothnessillaciously Shaven!!

Shaved an Astra the other day for the first time. Will do shave two tonight, but so far it does not surpass the 7'O black. The first shave was not as smooth or comfortable. Sometimes that can happen on shave 1 with a new blade though so I'll give it some more testing. I still need to try stropping w/ the Red IP's. If that extends a blade by one shave I'll prob. just stick w/ them because they are considerably cheaper than the 7'o blacks. Another week or so, and I'll have my answers.

cool...what about trunk space? how does it compare to, oh, I don't know, just a random, hypothetical, errr, 03 Grand Am, white, 6 cylinder with a small ding on the roof - again, just a random, hypothetica....nevermind, it's the current car that sits in my garage....

    Fuzzy gettin' cute eh???

Have no idea what the Grand Am trunk space is, but the 'Bu's is pretty good. Nice, deep trunk w/ a decent opening. Also redesigned to keep rain out of the trunk when it's opened; that's always a plus. Back seats fold forward for extra if needed.

Actually, the holes are patched up and sanded already. All I need to do is take it over the other house and paint it. I have my air compressor and HVLP setup over there. Plus, I left the garage over there bare block walls so I can hose them all down before I do any painting.
