    Thank you Gary.
If it hadn't been cheap, I wouldn't have purchased the second tub.

Got lured into a Fatip Retro too. Glad I got one too, its nice!
I have so many razors from old to new, it will take months to rotate through them all.
    Not that I'm complaining.

Problem with Mandom is it's made for the Japanese market. Diffacult to get here in the States. From what I read it's a lightly scented product because the Japanese folks are kind of crowded & it's considered impolite to wear strong perfumes. One reviewer said "Citrus, mild spices and clean woods". That doesn't stop folks from making fun of it.

Beagle is not actually a beagle she’s a basset hound, her name is a joke that stuck for ten years. It’s kind of funny when I take her to pet smart the look of confusion when people hear her name.

I’m not sure. If I finish off the TSD in the morning, I think it might be four. I’ll have to wait and see Adam’s recap.

I have another very early morning tomorrow so I will go ahead and post the planned shave and recap now. Given the products I expect a drama free near perfect shave.

    December 2018 Recap

Overall another very good month. I dialed in the Supply SE razor with the Proline blade. The Supply has become one of my favorite razors. I did manage to finish off one more soap before adding several over Christmas. As usual the best part of the month was following the thread. Thanks for letting me tag along. I am looking forward to next month.

Well guys, as this month draws to a close, I'd be remiss if I didn't pass along my heart felt thanks. With y'all's help, my Lathers have truly been Decadent!!! Be it a cream, croap, or soap. I learned what a real badger brush can do, and how to use it successfully! I learned that the quality of a brush can and does affect the lather, but in the end the guy driving the brush is in control.
I have made friends here, I have laughed at stories told, celebrated successes and mourned failures, but in the end, I learned much more than I thought ever possible.
Y'all havent seen the last of me, I can guarantee that!
Thank you all again and I wish you nothing but a wonderful and prosperous New year!

    Decadent December!!

    December 30, 2018

    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9)
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
    Soap - Stirling Orange Chill
    Brush - The Canuck
    Post - Alum

Only two more Decadent December shaves in 2018 so I need to make them count. Let's go back to the Gillette Toggle. Add a Sharp Star blade from Moscow. Then, put the Canuck and Stirling Orange Chill together for the lather. Yep, that works when you're looking for a decadent shave. Always a pleasure to handle the Toggle and running it wide open guarantees a good shave. The Orange Chill is not an overpowering scent, but strong enough to make its presence known and really adds to the shave. The menthol gives it that nice kick and chill to the finish.

Two passes and some extra touch up on the neck that created a couple of weepers. Nothing too bad. Nice near-BBS finish and we're down to one shave left in 2018. Hard to believe we've made another year pass already.

A reminder that the January 2019 30DC thread will not open until tomorrow closer to midnight. With only one more day to go in this year I have to say it's been the best year here in the 30DC so far. Both in numbers and in quality of posts, pictures, gear, however you want to measure it. I can't wait to see where we go in 2019.....but we'll start that journey in about 26 hours. Have a great night and a wonderful Monday!

Welcome @Trigger! We tend to get on a first name basis here - you can call me Rick. Don't let the Moderator tag spook you. Think of me as that friendly janitor at the high school, just keeping the halls clean and shiny with my electronic mop.
If you haven't yet, read Neal's @NCoxSTL Opening Statement at the beginning of this months thread. Or watch for the announcement of January 2019's and you'll be up to date. Otherwise pull up a comfy chair, and prepare to be utterly confused by all the inside jokes flying around the room. Don't worry, soon you'll be either an Instigator or a target.

Thanks Paul! It's good to be back. That shavette has been staring at me for months. Those monthly themes have kept me busy. I enjoy Adjustable August, SE September, & OC October. I know Neal would like to crack the whip on No Variation November but we're an unruly Crew. This month I kind of made up for my behavior by doing 4 - one week Rules or Foci. Either way January should be another good one.

Thanks for all you've added this month. It's been great having you as a regular. And, now that you are one, we took away the exit key. Think of this place as Hotel California. You can check out anytime you want....but you can never leave! Happy New Year!

Welcome aboard!! Great to have you joining us. Feel free to jump right on in and the new thread for January will be up late Monday night. It's usually ready a little earlier than that but with the new year change over I decided to delay it just a bit. Any questions you have about anything just ask. You'll be buried in answers before you can blink. And the best part? They'll be the right answer! Looking forward to getting to know you.

Decided to finish up this year with my favourite cream, Castle Forbes, the same as used by @Primotenore . This always delivers copious amounts of slick lather. This Omega silver tip is super soft, big and feels luxurious. The edge was sweet so I was surprised this was not an epic shave. It has only been 18 hours between shaves so that maybe the reason.

Happy New Year to all :bounce017:

Cartel HQ; Neal @NCoxSTL - Let me know when we should open that new wing on The 30 Day thread. I keep finding these guys wandering around out in the hall, but this room is filling up! I guess we can still squeeze in a couple dozen more before opening the patio.

The SOTD thread is looking sparse since the Recruitment Initiative and I can't help bringing in folks that seem a good fit for the Crew.

We'll knock out a wall if we need to while that wing is being finished up. We'll add a second bar as well, just to make sure nobody goes thirsty while reading through the day's posts! Kudos on finding so many good candidates wandering around. We'll take 'em all!
