Last shave of DEcadent DEcember, and last shave of 2018. Tried to go out in style with the Monobilt, Felce Aromatica and the big SynBad Chubby. Everything worked as it should and only two tiny weepers beside my mouth stopped this from being perfect. Still an excellent way to end the month (and year).

I really enjoyed this DEcember focus. I took the DE part literally and only used DE razors in the month, as well as focusing on some of my most DEcadent hardware and software. I defined Decadent differently a few times, and had a great month of shaves.

As for 2018 overall, it was a great year to be part of the 30DC again. Lots of new members joined with some awesome contributions to the group and I'm looking forward to all the great conversations and antics in the new year!
Personally, I started 2018 on a 'NB, and maintained it through 7 months or so until August. I ended up buying some hardware and software after that, traded a bunch as well and pif'ed a few combos too. Nothing like the year before in terms of den expansion, so I guess it worked. Made a handful of brushes, but that was down a bit this year as well. Tried some resin handles for the first time, and will try some more in the future. My last batch didn't harden properly, and I think my basement was too cold for it this time of year so I'll wait to spring to try again. You win some, you lose some.

Have a great New Years Eve all!

Added it to the list. I was pretty proud of finishing off 8 soaps, until I realized that I purchased 18 full sized tubs this year, and got a bunch of samples. I can't find the NB19 thread to sign up, but I am in.

Nice shaves, Adam! I agree with you about Route 66 soap. We all had some a couple of years ago (several of us even did a Route 66 January) but I ended up PIFing or selling my tubs. Not sure why. I have a sample of their Cavendish that I'll get to soon enough. Happy New Year!

Well, I've mentioned a few times that the NB worked for me, even though I didn't make it all the way through. I ended up buying or trading for 6 full soaps/creams and 7 Aftershaves for the year (including the currently inbound:)). Pif'ed 2 tubs/tubes out, traded a few splashes out, and binned 2 rarely used drugstore splashes. I guess I only increased the den by 4 tubs of soap and 4 aftershaves. I can like with that.
Bought 100 blades, but probably used 80 or so for the year. That is a wash in my books.
As well, 2 razors out via PIF, 4 razors in via trade, purchase or pif. Only an increase of 2...I can definitely live with that too.
Made myself 2 brushes and pif'ed a third one. Also refurbished a vintage Rubberset. +3 in brushes for the year, but I have two more knots sitting at home and two big Omegas inbound. Full disclosure- I don't view brushes the same way as making them really is a hobby.
